This will sound a bit weird - and he'll initially think it's a bit weird

You're not being serious there right? He wouldn't think it weird at all!

Yeah, meant to say 'he may' - I was taken aback initially, but only because I'd asked for but not received such a gift for a long time. Took me completely by surprise - she also got a rocking pair or 5" heels to go with :D

My wife bought me a balloon trip for my 40th (a while ago!). Scared the crap out of me, but a memorable event. You could join him!

Its his birthday tomorrow and your only asking today - shame on you lol

Carol - you need help with your thread titles... :tumbleweed:

Clothing items seem best bet at short notice. Depends on his dress sense. A decent shirt, or cuff links, ties etc.

Alternatively, since underwear has already been mentioned (I would never have though of that  ). You could get some for you.... as a present for him :bonk: 8)

How about a nice leather man bag. Mine goes with me everywhere stuffed with my iPad, camera etc.. Fits in the space behind the seats in the zed no bother. Might need some coaching in man bag etiquette if he hasn't had one before.

Hairbrush and rollers? :poke:

He's got a coupe to my shame, don't know whats wrong with him. Maybe he doesn't deserve a pressie after all!

Adam, I've got him a weekend away as his present but he's got nothing to open in the morning and I felt bad today so I need to fire off and get something.

Good suggestions here so thank you very much.

Like the idea of the undies  and the gloves. The hot air balloon would be brilliant (we did it in Egypt and it was fantastic).
The bag idea is cool too as his stupid (did I say that?) coupe has an open air boot and he could do with some sort of man-rubbish containment device!

id buy a citizen eco drive watch.... you could get a nice one for around 250 quid, they look great, very durable, great longevity, did i mention how awesome they look??
i always have my eco drive on and keep the expensive items locked away (dont feel comfortable wearing them now-days).... these are a great no break the bank present and look at more expensive than they are.

Good call on the sunglasses if he hasn't already got a really good pair.Dunno what he does for a living, but for my birthday this year I got a seriously nice briefcase from these people
http://www.theleatherbriefcase.co.uk/ .
Came direct from Italy and is stunning.I use it every day and love it.Was about £ 200 from memory. Also ditto on a few pairs of Calvin Kleins along with some very nice socks ( not yer M&S crap). Mrs bigshurv was in agreement with Ally ref geting some serious frillies for yourself for his enjoyment. He can unwrap you for his birthday ( worked for me on a previous birthday :D ) .

As my father and I are retired US Air Force. I bought the two of us a ride on a Boeing B-17 WWII bomber. I would imagine that there is an historic plane club or such that does the same with the wonderful British WWII aircraft. Before I die. It's my goal to ride in a P-51 or a Spitfire.
