Been offered 15k for mine thats leaving the tyres with non runflats, but I will be removing the following which would be for sale if I go ahead

Cruise Control Stork (Brand New Never Used)
Parrot 3200 BT Kit

Question is do I go ahaed, something is still stopping me from jumpping at it, the deal is pretty good considering what I can get for the parts being removed.

Just not sure about getting rid of the Z4, head says yes get rid, heart says no.

Well the question is, why exactly are you changing? Do you need a 4 seater saloon at this time of your life? Although the 330i is a really 'nice' car, I couldn't get excited over it having owned a convertible sports car. Can you?

Well, a nice car as mentioned by Bradders... one observation I would make, why is it your changing? Looking at the interior... what do you plan on wrapping the twins in :P

Could you really turn in your stubby?

5 year old twins and the need to carry a bike around would be the driving force behind this move. Whilst neither is a real big headache it does limit what we do sometime if the wife goes out on her own in her car (cant drive mine) we are stuck in as mine of course only has two seats.

There are a few bike racks around but I dont want to damage the car so I'm not to keen on these although pawnsacrafice has used his once or twice without damage.

decisions decisions........

looking at 1k difference, but I'm paying £40 per month warranty, service due soon where is new car not due for 18 months.

Reckon I could get near £500 for all the bits and pieces for sale though, CF trim got to be worth £300-£400 on ebay.

No your right I couldnt turn my stubby in, this forum is the other problem I love it to much and would miss it. It wouldnt be the same posting on here without owning a Z4 :headbang:

But cream leather is difficult to keep clean if you have kids. I saw that car too but it has no xenon headlights (all M Sport Saloon under £20k have no xenon atm, but with bluetooth and sat nav).

You want to have an older car then you have now?

Swap your wife's car for it then ... at least you keep the Z and have the other one as well.

330d+remap = The car I would have if i had kids...or maybe a 335D

Have though of a 330d + remap, but for the miles I do I can pick up a petrol a lot cheaper and the running costs owuld take years to break even on the 330d.

I'd keep the Zed and spend the grand on an old focus for when the missus has buggered off and you absolutely NEED 4 seats :D

Best buy I did was get that Polo - very cheap. I now have 3 cars on chargers that I don't want to use :D

Just remember if you get the 3 series, you can join a reps united forum :fuelfire:

To be honest, if you're barely getting to drive it, I completely understand why you would swap for something like that. What reg is your car out of interest? That M Sport is quite high priced in my opinion, and I'm wondering if you're getting a good deal on your car or not, thus making the whole deal better.

P.S. I wouldn't own a BMW without Xenons. It just doesn't look right.

THis is another reason, the car just sits in the garage at weekends except the odd time I get to take it out.

Regarding the price I think I could get £500 or a little more by selling privately as long as I remove the interior trim and dension etc...

It isn't worth £500 for the hassle you'll end up getting. Do the deal, and don't look back! Learn to love the 330i for what it's good at, and don't compare it to the Z4. There'll be plenty of things it's good at that the Z4 is not - especially the fact that you'll actually get to drive it!

My mum has a 330d Msport, the idrive system is a bugger to master - she also had to have a 2 firmware update on it due to a steering lock software problem, which they could never resolve.

But for sheer cruising it beats the Z hands down - even on run flats - and the best toy in the world - adaptive cruise - its so much fun setting it to 1 bar and letting it tale the car in front

Although imo if i was to get a 3 series it would have to be a coupe - you can still fit two kids into the back of that... and you get the party trick which is the seat belt getting pushed toward you (when it works!)
