Nearly Carjacked

Glad it all turned out ok - don't know what I would have done in that situation.

A woman at the place I used to work at had her car jacked in the car park in front of the office windows as she left to go home. If the little scroats worked for a living they too could have nice toys instead it's easier to scrounge of the state and steal, even if they do get caught they only get a slap on the wrist

Jeez sorry to hear about Mrs CJs experience. Seems like she handled the situation really well in the circumstances, well done to her!
Ive read about attempted car jackings in neighbouring Tamworth, mostly around Ventura retail park, so am always on my guard whenever i go there.
Like you say its easy to sit here and say id have done this or done that, but in the heat of the moment its totally different.

That's exactly where she was, but I didn't want to condemn the whole of Tamworth....

Yikes! I may decide to go tooled up on my next visit there :guns:

As already been said because nothing actually happened theres probably little the police can do, but it will pay to report this to them as its gone on there before.
But this kind of thing is happening elsewhere, ive read about carjackings in towns and villages near to me. Its advisable to be vigilant wherever you are.

Chatted to a buddy from old bill and he really tells me it waste as no property was stolen, no personal injury, etc. Everyone knows where it was going but, we'll just be in a paper chase for months. Any car plates would be ghost and the chances are the youths already well known, so bizarre as it is the advice is to make no formal issue of it.

Yikes, sorry to hear this but glad everyone is ok (including the Zed!) Its a pretty scarey experience!

Had an attempted car jacking in Wrexham - Wales after a VX220 run. A Scutter Chav got out of some old Toyota carina E in front at some traffic lights; looked as though he was walking to the curb. Next thing i know, a tattoo'd arm comes in over the window fumbling for the keys (roof was off). I pretty quickly grab said wrist and gave it one firm slap down onto my window. One nice audible 'snap' later and im over the other end of the road making 11's and jumping the red light. :driving: :|

Turns out the car behind was in on it too as they were also out of the car; i noticed as i tried to reverse - no chance. Thank goodness i left just enough 'tyres and tarmac' so i could get the hell outta there!!

Owning a gym and running most Les Mills systems and my wife being an instructor in Pump and Combat i can safely say Combat is no self defence...... They even tell you to say that to new customers.

Cheers

Your dead right there! Body Combat is a workout using martial arts moves, not a martial art. Done a few martial arts over the years, but the martial art I am qualified to teach is Taekwondo. 23 years with 11 years teaching my own clubs. Mainly teach fitness classes, Body Combat, RPM/Spin, Body Balance and circuits now though. :)

Where is your club Paul?

Hi,

Bit late reply, but we are based in Leicester, we also have a sister gym but the only connection is family owning it.

Its a cut throat business but we seemed to be doing well, taking into account the recession.

Cheers
