NC500 3-DAY RUN, FRIDAY 17th,SATURDAY 18TH& SUNDAY 19TH MAY,2019

Makes sense

Come off the M6 at Preston and take the A59 into the Ribble Valley

Stop at the Waddington Arms then go up over waddington fell and sample some of the best and unknown driving roads in England

You can track up the Pennines on some epic roads

Happy to give you some ideas

Waddington Arms Booked for Wednesday Evening , will work out a Route up from there Thursday Morning, thanks for your help earthdweller

No prob the Waddy arms is lovely ... great food and lovely craft ales

From there i would suggest heading up over the fell to Newton in Bowland then right towards Slaidburn on the B6478 to Wrigglesworth and then left toward Settle

Cut through Settle and out the other side on the B6479 towards Horton in Ribblesdale and on to Ribblehead Viaduct then turn right on the B6255 towards Hawes

At Hawes turn left onto the road towards thwaite and Keld and then follow it towards Bowes then pick up the B6277 towards Alston and from there you can head across to Carlisle and pick up the M6/A74,north

Then whether you head up the west side or cut across to the east is up to you

I’ll be heading up the west side on the Thursday to Glasgow then up through Loch Lomond, Glencoe etc

Have a look at the above some great and very empty roads there if they interest you

Riverfront Premier Inn is a fair wee walk to the Beefeater with the Avalon about half way there. I sense a taxi in your future for the trip back

6 ish is probably a bit early as we are planning meandering route up and don’t know what time we’ll arrive

Well the old girl is all prepped for the journey tomorrow

Nice run up the west coast of Ireland to a hotel beside the sea near Belfast ready for the ferry Thursday morning

Let’s hope the weather holds
