Emails sent to everyone regards meeting place,times etc.
As above post,plan is to meet fairly nearby,handout info sheets,etc..... check your emails
Plan is then to leave the meeting place,and do a "Rolling start" on the way past Inverness castle,as there's no stopping place or adequate Parking.

Hi all,
Sent emails/PM's to those still not Confirmed Food orders and/or Final payments for the Saturday night accommodation only.
I need to get these out the way,so I. Know everyone has ordered their Food choices for THE SATURDAY NIGHT,And paid the outstanding balance, Thanks
Once this is done,I will pm those who haven't confirmed Food orders and Final Payments for the Friday night,cheers

Well the girl Friday has been unable to pass my request to pay across to the proprietor, despite an email and 4 phone calls..
So in the end I left my card details with the girl Friday..
I’ll check to see if my card has been debited in a couple of days..maybe the proprietor is busy caring for all her guests..

So in the end I left my card details with the girl Friday..

I was only three phone calls so I have the record. First one to the proprietor but she was in the wrong part of the hotel to take a booking. Told to ring back in 20 mins if okay. Rung back a little too quick and got Manuel in the kitchen and then third time was a success.
To be fair everyone was really nice and they will have a skeleton staff at the moment until May.

Now have everyone's Food Pre Orders in for the Friday night meal,and have forwarded it on a Spreadsheet to them,as requested.
Also, Everyone has said they have ordered their Food for the Saturday night ,so cheers
I think everyone has also Paid for both Nights,any balance owing,from what info I have,apart from those (3) staying in the B n B on the Friday night(as the b n B are happy to take final balance on the day)

I follow some of the FB NC500 groups
Some choice comments today about a group of Porsche’s blasting through Durness
Seems the locals have had enough of yobs in high performance cars treating it like the Nurburgring
Apparently you can rent Supercars in Inverness and it’s very popular with Germans !
But then they are also ranting about camper vans going too slow
And
Rental cars on the wrong side of the road

Living just North of Fort William we always see a lot of exotica in the Summer on their way North. The convoys of nice cars have started a little while ago. Over the past week alone I have seen many Porsches, Lambos, McLarens, BMW M's along with some rarer machinery. Saw a Lancia integrale today's hitch was beautiful. I think the main thing to keep locals onside is be respectful when going through villages as regards speed and noise.
