Nav retrofit question.

where is the hole to reach the trunk do you know? I won't ever have to touch the DVD unit so it can be hidden somewhere. no need to tear anything apart to slide in a single DVD ;)

Are talking about this hole?)) -->>

Ok, let's begin by doing this -->
Go here.
http://www.bmwnav.es/~kamala/Eba/E8...20navegador%20profesional%20en%20ingl%E9s.pdf
Print it out.
Go to page 1 (Parts Overview)
On page 1 you will see all the parts that you need.

Give me your email so I can send you the template.
Here you can see some of the parts and my poor car :D

You rock :) So I need a whole lot of other parts before I start! is there a list of part #s or should I go by the pictures?
My email address is [email protected]. Thanks a lot for the help!
Also, today I put in this peculiar head unit that is apparently an early version of the nav CID. It works fine w/o the nav computer, but of course doesnt have the navigation function. The screen can display temp, speed, radio station and some other info. So far I am favoring this over the regular CID because I have not used the CD player in ages anyway (Mp3 + AUX) and a small screen can be useful when the top screen is closed. What do you guys think?
Edit: Link to RealOEM image of the head unit:
