Template? I used a bit of cardboard once I had the monitor and cut it around the back of it. Primitive but it worked fine
+ the mounting screws are in the middle and Z4 has screws on the bottom.pvr said:Mind the monitor. A lot are advertised as suitable for X3 and Z4, and they are not all the same. The X3 one has a lip at the dashboard end as that goes into the dash, whilst the Z4 one goes over the edge (so no lip, just a bend at the end).
The GPS aerial is universal, and I paid $20 for it new on ebay (with 5 metre lead as you need to go from the MKIV unit to the dashboard through the car). The cable harness is cheap from the dealer - about $120 (I paid £55)

any link for the GPS antenna? Its like $120 from dealer
oh and how about the cut out template?
pvr said:DHK - you still had to cut out a bit of the soft dash top though to rest the monitor in?
Must admit, you made a nicer hole then I did - but at the end of the day it is all covered by the monitor anyway.

DHK said:3 tabs on top of the dashboard you have to make(cut out). And the bottom 2 tabs are already there.
