Firstly, I'll take a classic room (for single occupancy).

Secondly, a few questions to help everyone, once the hotel/rates are confirmed:

• Are the rooms held as a group booking in your name?
• Do we need to confirm/pay direct with the hotel...and if so, by when?
• Are there limited hours to call the hotel (or is there someone available on the phone all day?)
• Is the Friday evening meal still going ahead?
• If so, is there a menu that we need to start pre-ordering our meal option for Friday?

I was going to put all that up on here once the Hotel,ertc have confirmed what they want us to do this time.
Usually I would go through a list of those wanting the Hotel,and then get those people staying, to call the Crooklands and give their details, including Credit card info,which holds their booking then,at our agreed rates.....its so if people don't turn up,and haven't cancelled in an appropriate timeframe, then they can charge the card. Has never happened though.
In 2019 they didn't even bother going most peoples credit card info though,lol. And someone had paid for the Room that time,and it was unused,which was a shame.

Anyway, will get back to you all when I have more info

To answer a few of these points....

1.Yes,Hotel is block booked under my name/Z4forum
2.Once I have a Confirmed list of those attending,I will forward names to hotel,who then usually require a credit card info given to hold individual rooms,so people need to call the Hotel and give their details.
I am waiting to see that is what they want to do this time round,given the way things are
3.Currently,Hotel is still CLOSED,and I am corresponding via email only.....so waiting for word from them on how they wanted to do this ,this time.
4Tbc,but Friday night meal has Ben requested
5.Once hotel confirms they can do the meal,then Pre Orders are required, as has been the case before.

Re the rooms,all Deluxe I'm afraid,but it is what it is. Slightly dearer,but its that or nothing I expect.
I have asked them if there's anything they can do on price,on Deluxe rooms,as there's no Classic available, especially for those Flying solo,like you ,me and one or two others maybe? But I think it may be pushing it,given we are already getting Discount,not to mention the state they will be in financially, given covid-19.

We will see.

Be arriving Friday leave Monday Camping, however as it's August, i'm unsure if Sue is coming due to the law on babysitting and the date is close to the 11th August when the kids go back to school, Sue wants to make sure the kids are sorted and ready.
