"NATIONAL MEET;LAKES & DALES,JULY 1st/2nd/3rd

 I didn't think about that. Hell of a great honeymoon, cheap, plus I'll scare her to within an inch of her life :P

Yeah the fiance is wanting to camp....mostly because of price but hey that's how it goes. So yeah we will be camping....I'm shooting for Friday/Saturday possibly Sunday, depends on how we feel after the drive.

Hi Aebous,
no probs if your mate wants to come alomg,as a passenger ,in your z4,but tryimg to keep the z4 meet as purely z4's ( i'm afraid),otherwise my best mate would be coming along,in his bmw 330i coupe(which he wanted to/but it aint a z4,either).

Coming into this debate a bit late, and as it's craig's meet his thoughts carry a lot of weight, but personally I wouldn't mind if a few non zeds arrived. John's mate Paul in his M3 being a prime example (and if my Zed wasn't available I'd turn up in something else too) - so I'd say your 330i coupe mate could come too.

They could always keep out of the line-up shots, and maybe run as a posse at the back, but anyone with a connection to the forum would be welcomed by me.

p.s. Aebous - Not sure that a big yank truck would fit on those roads though - wouldn't want to get it stuck down the narrow lanes!

Guiseley - actually I'm with Craig on this one. I love almost all quality cars, seeing them, driving with them, etc. but this instance it's a Z4 meeting of the Z forum. It's one of the rare opportunities that just this make and owners get together, drive chat, photo shooot. There's plenty of multi make meets and runs and that's what they're for.

Last weekend I was an honorary member of the MLOC club and felt very awkward as the sole Zed in a line of Lotus, but once at the Breakfast club and multi make show it ceased to be so.

Howdy, interested in this as recently got a Z4 and a couple of days driving, BBQ and a few beers on a summers eve sounds great. Mrs threatening interest but hates camping, especially if there's not a socket in reach for GHD.

Problem solved - I bought one of these from CostCo for <50quid a few years back. Still going strong, definitely works with GHD straighteners (they're about 160watt max, this'll pump out 300watts for a while).

(This is just the first link to them I found, not a recommendation for a vendor - sure they can be bought a lot cheaper than that)

I bet they felt awkward too!

Hope you didn't let them get *too* far behind. :fuelfire:

Agreed.

I might manage this one but I know theres a work trip penciled in for 2nd to 8th but no confirmation. Hopefully i'll be able to confirm soon!

5 hours to get to Kendal

Right having talked with Bunnyoyrider we are both coming and would like to camp on the saturday night.. Is it too late to book a camping slot?

We are just unsure now whether to just bring the one car and share the driving or bring both. :?

Looking forward to meeting people.. Putting faces to names and the like

Bring them both... :driving:
thats all i will say (others have already beat me to the jokes,lol)....

Let me know if it will be 1 or 2 tents/all joking aside

p.s ,dont try to book campsites /waters edge or little acres ,yourselves/it will only confuse matters,re:available spaces, cheers. :)

I'll let you know Craig.. I'll just say now though if we do just bring the one tent them it will probably be as big as two tents because we will have to fit all out kinky stuff in.. Our PVC outfits, hand cuffs, sex swing and everything ... :D

Just out of curiosity why is it such a bad idea to come in one car.. It's a fairly long drive from where were coming. Just seems daft to spend twice as much in fuel etc. Surely it's more of a laugh two in one car than been on your own???

All good points - and you should do as you please - look forward to meeting you both however you travel. Driving in convoy to the meet point is a good laugh too.

I think the reason people were er perplexed was only one of you gets to drive. We all love driving our cars! Wouldn't even think of sharing. :driving:
