Guys I would love to join in but unfortunately I am working all weekend..... :(

Are there any other trips planned up in the North over the 6 week holidays ?

OK guys - a bit last minute - well very last minute but Mrs Jax and I will now be attending the National Meet for the first time !

Staying at Crooklands Friday night - maybe arriving in time for food & drinks and for the Saturday drive & BBQ but need to head home Saturday night. Looking forward to seeing you all ! :driving: :driving:

We usually finish our Drives anytime from 4 to 5pm, but as always, one or 2 people leave before the end (and miss out on a good "last blast"), but just let us ALL know at a Toilet break/Lunch stop if you are planning to leave early, and aprox where.....so others behind u don't follow you home

Have a good one :driving: and think of little old me stuck on Dartmoor, probably in the rain, in a Mazda, trying to keep up with much faster Mazdas.

Should have gone North, in the Zed.

Going to be a warm afternoon in Cumbria . . .

What is it with the weather forecasts this week - must be a complicated picture because they've not been too accurate.

We shall see. . .

:driving:

Brilliant news! Look forward to seeing you both again.

Sorry I won't be able to make it this time. Really will miss the meet.

Enjoy it and hope the weather is kind for you all and you find someone else to light and manage the BBQ's :)

As a National Meet newbie, what's the general guidance on the Saturday night BBQ?

Do I need to bring/provide funds, provisions, beer/wine - or do we just wander into the surrounding fields and slaughter something?

We all just chip in a few quid 5 or 6 IIRC and a few people pop down to the local supermarket and stock up. Dead easy.

:D The last idea would liven the evening up!

Craig will be on in a minute I'm sure, but he collects funds (£4 each last year I think) from us to go buy the goods which are then cooked up (including cooking bbq, food and sauces, bread buns and paper plates /plastic forks even serviettes! So nothing needed except drinks. Folk brought their own drinks last year or maybe bought drinks from the bar at the campsite.

Anything I've missed?

It's a lovely social night after a days driving.

:driving:
