I've been struck down with illness, on antibiotics and off work. Unless there is a significant improvement by Friday morning we won't be coming up :( was really looking forward to it.

Thanks and to others for your wishes. Parents have brought me home to look after, still in bed. There will have to be a miraculous turn around for me to be able to make it. But who knows. Will keep you posted, can't imagine camping will happen though, I've seen that Crooklands still has rooms :lol:

... am I the only one thinking this is just standard "womans tactics" for getting out of having to sleep in a tent?
the old "I've got a headache" line again :thumbsdown:

:rofl:

only joking - hope you feel better soon RubyBlue!

Knottingley -> A1(M) to Wetherby (Leeds) (3:41pm)

If anyone is going up on the friday and is along that route and fancies meeting up "a la convoy", let me know.

I'm very impressed by your expected timing precision fella!

We're travelling up on Friday from Lincoln but leaving at about 4:30pm and staying in Preston for the night. See you on the 12th. :driving:

Could be! :wink: At least my normally placid GF had the good grace to state 'am I f*ck as like sleeping in a tent - go on your own.' Crooklands it is then...

I initially got around that by saying she could use her straighteners in the tent. That worked for a little while.

Next year I might just tell her once we're over half the way there.....

:lol: why does no one believe that I am capable of camping. Just wouldn't want to make my situation worse this time if at all I was able to come up.
