NATIONAL MEET 2014... (FRI),SAT.&SUNDAY 11TH/12TH/13TH JULY

The first post by Craig was 29th March for last years National . . . .

(Been in contact with Craig3.2 and Sammyz during the last month and both ok then)

its an amazing amount of work they put into it, I can't imagine anybody else pulling it off
 
Hi Folks....yes, I am still alive AND I WILL BE ORGANISING THIS YEARS NATIONAL AS USUAL (WITH JOHN/THOUGH HAVEN'T SPOKE TO HIM RECENTLY, I WILL SOON)
....JUST GOING TO BE GETTING POSTS/NEW THREAD STARTED SOON ON THIS YEARS NATIONAL LAKES AND DALES MEET,
THOUGH WE APPEAR TO HAVE SOMEONE WANTING TO ORGANISE A SIMILAR MEET IN THE SAME GENERAL AREA ON THE SAME FKN WEEKEND THIS YEAR.

Forum etiquite would surely make this a big no no, and if this other meet goes ahead in the 1st weekend in july(as the NATIONAL TRADITIONALLY HAS BEEN FOR SEVERAL YEARS NOW) IT will f**k everything up big time!!

Why have people no damn respect!! LOL.

WILL POST NEW THREADS SOON/ONCE SPOKEN TO JOHN AND GOT SOME PRIZES IN THE PIPELINE ALREADY, ETC :D :thumbsup:

But NAME AND SHAME and we can all start posting our disapproval of the alternate meet. . . . .(Err, it's not me and Steph is it? :lol: )
 
Not going to name and shame Paul...but its not hard to find on here, haha.
Its from someone who decided to ignore advice from other long-standing forum members and meet regulars, and because they pm'd me and due to very heavy work-load of late, I didn't reply til now.......
me and John have only been organising the National on the 1st weekend in July for 6 meets/years running, so a bit of a pita that someone who has only been on the Forum for about 10months, thought it a good idea to pick this weekend(or any weekend close to it) when there are many other weekends in the year to choose from :headbang:

Oh well, National thread for this year now started, as usual around this time of year :) :driving:

Haha, think I even said possible for the "other meet" but I claim innocence as relatively new so this would be my first national. Would be up for a national meet too though so if I'm not honeymooning count me in.
 
I Think it's a bit harsh to slate someone for organising another event when:
1) the thread title still says 11th 12th 13th July 2014
2) you say it's traditionally the 1st weekend in July, when clearly last year it wasn't !

I think you need to get this years date out early and on a new thread, even if you are going to go sort the finer details later... :D
 
I tend to agree it would be easier if the date was confirmed earlier in the year - I mean then Bernie wouldn't have organised this on the same weekend

Sorry, but you talk forum etiquette and then actively slate someone else's efforts to set up a meet. If you have an objection, that try sorting out personably, through PM, and post something far more diplomatic. Respect goes both ways. :thumbsdown:

Can't help but agree with this ^^^^

It appears that the lady in question even tried PM-ing Craig to check before organising her meet, I don't know how long she waited for a response but obviously didn't get one so proceeded with her plans - nothing wrong with that as far as I can see.

It may not be the case, but the perception is now of Craig trying to supplant her meet by brute force and 'SHOUTING' that 'The National' has priority - surely there's a better way to sort this out
