Nice group shot - sorry Mrs Jax and I couldn't stay for Sunday too but thoroughly enjoyed Friday night and Saturday drive. Great to catch up with some folks we've not seen for a while like Bradders & Graham - and to meet some new faces - great to see a non Zed there too!

Fantastic to see you both again Jack. I was in awe of you coming down from Scotland for the day until I realised you were closer to Crooklands than we were! Looking forward to catching up again with a trip to Scotland sometime.

There were too many highlights to list but one amusing bit of the weekend was when a non-forum Z4 coming the other way was pulled over letting us all past. I heard him shout to a pedestrian "I was just saying to my wife how you don't see many of these about...!"

My personal highlight was driving behind Metal licker and seeing him wave to a car that'd apparently stopped to let us through... I went to do the same, only to realise there was nobody in it, and he had in fact just thanked a parked up empty car for letting him through

Haha classic!

With the sheep nothing a little rev won't do to get them out the way, unfortunately when you do they tend to run behind the car into the car behind lol! My nice new silver grey bumper would have been on the other side of Imola and mouton for dinner!

Apologise to Metal licker for a few sheep exhaust scares lol!

TBH one of the things that made me chuckle was following Paul and realising his numberplate finished with FCU

And craigs ariel exploits having him me john and paul all getting quite a lot of air from a hidden dip brilliant stuff!

From the weekend:

Anyone want to see an Alpina's party piece. . . follow Grumpy Brain and watch his Alpina squat down, gather itself for a micro second, then blast past when overtaking - awesome!

:driving:

Err - might be better following Grumpy Brian rather than Grumpy Brain! whoops!

Many thanks to John and Craig for a great weekend.Good to see Steph and Paul again, lovely car by the way. Great Barby, great company and some great roads.
What a great event. Special praise to my little 2.0 ltr what a great engine, did me proud up against u big boys.

Great stuff Paul - I officially hand over the 2.0 litre promotional forum post on to you!

Nice to see SK 93 acknowledging it too

Oh and thanks for spending time with Craig when he brought down his 2 litre - I had told him about your car - nice one!

:driving:
No problem good to meet a fellow 2.0 ltr owner not many of us a about. Not quite sure how Mrs M read a full book on her kindle during Sundays run would have knocked me sick.
Drove too fast ( according to her ) spilled coke all down her front during a particularly bumpy section at speed and had my passenger door handle strangle with her sweaty little palm during the course of the day.

Reluctant to post our photos after seeing your photos Jax (Mrs Jax!) - fabulous work!

These are from our phone camera and even worse - are cropped so please excuse quality. . . .

  Think there was a fly on my sunglasses at that very moment which gave the impression of a driver in the car

Got back about 1pm today. I'd like to add my thanks to John and Craig for the great organisation once again. Jim and I had a quiet drink in the hotel last night as the sole bar occupants - the rest of the world was watching the football.
It was great to meet people old and new that I'd seen on the forum in person once again. There were a few suprises, it's strange how you imagine people to be.

Here's my humble photo contribution.

Thanks to Taz for the badges - added mine to my cap alongside last years - nice keep sake.

Got a tax disc holder too - gonna soon be a collectors item. (Missed out on the calendar but have one at home we bought earlier in the year).

Thanks Taz and good to meet you (Loved the number plate!)

:driving:

Can't believe your other half read a book through the runs - I'd be sick within the first few corners doing that - amazing! :o

And craigs ariel exploits having him me john and paul all getting quite a lot of air from a hidden dip brilliant stuff!

Number plate starts with a lovely solid 'V' as well. 'FCU' - not really me at all. . . .it came from our first MX5 and we've moved it onto our Zeds since - go figure? :(

Getting that air was something else - but what a light landing - there must have been just the right angle on the road after the jump - the Zed doesn't normally land so easily.

I'm still searching my dash cam for the clip of Craig's landing further along the road, when his ///M went right out of shape - good save Craig! :o

even from my position a bit further back in the field, that looked one impressive save! I suspect his bum had taken a firm hold on those ///M seats  :driving:

Just to say how much I enjoyed this year's meet! weather was kind again and we had long sections of empty road especially on Sunday. I'd like to thank everyone for the picture frame and I'm now searching for a suitable pic to put in it ( One of Craig maybe?? :D ). Nice to know Craig and my efforts are appreciated!

Pity I pranged the front wheel but it has prompted me to order a couple of new tyres and the wheels will be getting a refurb in the near future. After nearly 4 years with flash chrome I will change the finish.

Gold, maroon!!! gold flash , black, gunmetal all being considered!!! Will post some pics elsewhere when I get it sorted.
