NATIONAL MEET 2014... (FRI),SAT.&SUNDAY 11TH/12TH/13TH JULY

Just to say how much I enjoyed this year's meet! weather was kind again and we had long sections of empty road especially on Sunday. I'd like to thank everyone for the picture frame and I'm now searching for a suitable pic to put in it ( One of Craig maybe?? :D ). Nice to know Craig and my efforts are appreciated!

Pity I pranged the front wheel but it has prompted me to order a couple of new tyres and the wheels will be getting a refurb in the near future. After nearly 4 years with flash chrome I will change the finish.

Gold, maroon!!! gold flash , black, gunmetal all being considered!!! Will post some pics elsewhere when I get it sorted.

It's such an enjoyable weekend - and not many would go to the bother of sorting this out year after year - hope you read my post about how it felt to be on the road with other Zeds - others agree - it's a special event.

Your Imola red ///M was really missed on Sunday (though metal licker's orange E89 now makes a similar splash of colour too) - I'll be very interested to see what you do with your wheels.

:driving:

Got back late last night and snowed under with work today but finally got round to say how much Denise and I enjoyed our first National, great driving weather and even the barby had a certain special warm wet feeling.

To those of you we had time to chat with, it was great to meet some new faces, (and old ones Metal Licker and the Jax's);to those we didn't, catch you next year.

Big thanks to Craig for meticulous  organisation and keeping everyone on track and together, John for great routes and Steph who not only fed us all but decided that my forum name stands for Got No Hair...

Best bit of driving I saw was by Barrie who avoided the sheep that I deliberately enticed to walk in front of him, looked good in the mirror mate.

Anyone coming to Silverstone Classic? Might see you there.

Just wanted to say thanks everyone for making it such a brilliant weekend (especially Craig and John for organising it).
It really was a perfect introduction to zed ownership

Too many highlights to list them all, but I have to agree with Ste that seeing Metal Licker thanking a parked car for letting him through was definitely one of the funnier moments

Also, thanks to bladeowner for making my roof work with the key and fixing my passenger window (I think it was you, struggling a bit to link everyone to forum names at the minute  )

I'd just like to add my thanks to Craig and John for another great national meet it never fails to be one of the highlights of the year for me.I know I should get out more often   . Seriously though the reason I keep coming back even after I've moved on from my Z is that I really like the people the forum attracts and I do appreciate the fact that you guys let me tag along, even though I've bought the wrong car :P. Nicola and myself had a really good time, see you next year. :driving:

Sorry to go off topic. (Has to be done at least once in a thread)
Have you put any grilles over your air intakes Dave?
