Hi, had the hairline crack on my expansion tank last year, replaced water pump and thermostat with genuine Pierburg/mahle items at the same time, however, used a new febi expansion tank which failed a couple of months ago when stuck in traffic. Turns out it was a faulty rad fan in this instance, which has since been replaced, and fitted a genuine BMW expansion tank this time! Expansion tanks are cheaper than engines! & I'm not wishing to do the job again any time soon!
