Hi folks,
First BMW owner so please don't come at me I'm still learning
Gonna be changing the water pump out on my e85 sooner rather than later (just waiting for low ramps to pop up at the right price!) as it's still on the original pump, from 2006 on 135k miles, I'm frightened to say the least
.
Was just wondering what are the "go to" pumps, particular thermostat?
I did read somewhere there's one you can get without the gasket and it bolts straight on with the 3 bolts provided, but I'm not too fond of that idea, any one else tried this?
Also, might be a stupid question as I've never done this on any car before, (non belt driven and the latter), I assume drain coolant beforehand and refill with new stuff?
Anything else I should be checking while I'm in the vicinity of the water pump?
Couple other knick knacks with the car, but nowhere near as important as this!
Sorry for the long read, but I appreciate yous making it through it
Cheers
