OK the pins and colors I gave you are correct. As far as the ground, you can use a chassis ground. The other three pins with the connector disconnected (key off) "should" show a ground (I think). The DME for these three wires uses internal transistors and in a steady state (key off, disconnected) should show a ground. I'm not an electronics expert so a little fuzzy on transistors
