Hi all, I have just taking possession of my first Z4. Had quite a few BMW's in the past but this is the first Z4. So where's the mystery? Well purchased the car from someone at work and they have owned it for a few years but parked it after it failed its MOT on relatively minor (IMO) issues. Believe it or not, not much information after that, other than an attempt to get it going again recently failed after it was sitting for some 2 years. Now - I purchased it unseen other than some poor photos. Firstly sticking to the basics. Got the battery charged and it turns over but doesn't seem to want to fire. Not even a splutter. So removed a spark plug (they have all been replaced) and looks clean and dry. Found fuse 19 in the glove compartment box missing. This seems to be the low pressure fuel pump, filter & sender unit. Replaced with a new 20A and when you turn the key the rear pump sounds like a bag of nuts & bolts. Clicking etc. Anyway removed the fuel rail test cap & relieved the pressure. Pulled off the fuel feed pipe to the rail and ran it into a clean bottle. Appears to be petrol (good start!) and water free but not confirmed. Looks to be a good flow of fuel to the pipe so although the rear pump sounds crap, it appears to work. So now I am on the hunt again for next thing to try. Assuming the fuel is good (for the moment) I want to check all the fuses, to ensure we are making sparks. Does anyone have a fuse chart for the fuses under the bonnet please. Many thanks - already gained loads from the forum. Beat regards David
