My Z4's evolution (Cruise Control)

I know that I'm late with the reply but a brake disk and calliper swap BMW part for BMW part is a peace of pxxs. The only advice I would give is use good quality tools and a catering blow touch if needed.
Or just pay £50 for any tyre place to do it for you.

Cheer's
What about the Brake dust shield / plate thingy? Does that have to be replaced too or can it be left on ?

Sorted my LED license plate lights today, WOW! Who would have thought such a small cheap mod would make such a difference.....
I am REALLY impressed with the difference. Some people wont get it, but when you do one then look at the old and new side by side, also its been bugging me every time i see a newish BMW fitted with them as standard.
I bought a pair from ebay, £3.99 + .99p postage came the next day

I will be getting some for the interior next week

Did the bulb holders come out easy enough?

Yeah, i think at first i was being a bit gingery about it.... Used a small plastic 'wedge' type thing i got with with my new iphone screen (handy tool to have!)
5min job if that, 10min to stand and look at them (in day light) going "Ooooo..." lol

Im guessing the interior ones are hard tho? Unless you have arms like a snake and a mirror?

Ive read somewhere that it involves prising out the lens

That's the EASY BIT! the hard bit before that is disconnecting a load of tiny plugs and sockets and unscrewing about 20 miniature screws (smaller than the ones you get on glasses!!)

If only it was as easy as Swapping BMW Number plate bulbs. EASIEST MOD EVER (after a Stubby)

Looks awesome mate!

Think I might get some of the number plates lights, do you know if they'll fit a 2003 model, is it just a simple swap over job? Also where would you put them inside the car?

Thanks

Yes its the simplest of Simple jobs, pul out the holders, twist and remove the bulb, insert new bulb, put everything back, BOSH!! Job done.
Try it

I dont know about everyone else but the standard gear knob in a Z4 seems really cheap (the silver plastic one with cheap black plastic insert)
So iv just bought myself one of these illuminated gear knobs. technically iv bought it for my Mum to give to me for Christmas, so when it arrives iv got to give it to her to wrap it up so i can have it back on Christmas day lol

I shall take photos as i fit it

Will this Modifying bug ever end???

I love your passion for modding! your zed looks great & really shiny, keep up the good work I must admit I love the illuminated gearknob on the M...it's the little things!! :D

Lovely and shiny, those pics are why I love my black Z

Mine will get it's last wash on NY eve.

Hope you are ducking though, as you know what's coming

Great write up.

I would remove the m badge on the boot, you are likely to get some stick for forum members...

Have a search for carbon wrapping dash, that's cheap but very effective, gives the interior a new look.

Be careful with that badge, you may come back to one of these..!!! :D

Nice car and mods though

Hahahahaha I know its not to everyones approval,
but you lot are meant to be the experts! Its a 'Z4 Msport' not trying to fool you thats its a ZM (minus the 4) lol.

It says M on the wheel's (current and original) it says M on the Steering wheel, so it now got M on the boot (but not on the wings)
its staying anyway so MOCK away lol :poke:
