my Z4 small Mod thread

I was looking at that sound mod is that the bypass pipe that goes on the back box? I was going to look at a new custom back box next year but dont want anything to loud as its quite loud as standard. I may have to look into that then.

Search sound generator mod on here, its simply a pipe that goes from the airbox to the bulkhead just near the glovebox, you can pull out a bit of foam to increase the engine noise in the cabin. To be honest, I think I may just trim the foam and put some back as its rather loud!

I was thinking this as I read the comments - I think it would work better, a bit more subtle. Perhaps black with a silver Z would look good ? Beedub has custom stainless steel roundels on the repeaters on his M with the ///M logo etched into them and they look ace. Unfortunately Machine Monkey did them for him and he's out of business for mod parts right now :(

Looks great though, and the good news is that there's loads to do. I have an auto, but loads of folk swear by the ZHP gear knob - shorter and heavier than standard, you might want to have a nose around for one.
 
Looks good, can I also recommend spraying your kidney grills gloss or Matt black if it hasn't already been mentioned.

Yeah I was looking at that. I have some black plastidip left over from my last car so may do it in that. Then if I want to change I can just peel it back off.
 
I have today ordered the clear side indicators and the badges will be done to fit on these in about two weeks. I will make up two types of badge, one in black and chrome and the other in carbon and black, :D to see what one works better.
 
well i have just been told that my wheels have ben delivered and they will be fitting the tyres tomorrow so should pick them up wednesday :D hope its nice the weekend so i can get them on. will be selling mine now.

i did this to my old car and lost so much money so will not be going to mad. but i can't help myself :evil:
 
Mod your front lights mate. For £50 you can fit really nice looking angle eyes and get rid of the horrid amber indicators :thumbsup: :thumbsup: :thumbsup:
 
Well I have finally got my wheels and im over the moon with them. I cant wait to get them on but have to as I cant do them until sunday. I think they will set the car off. Then got home and my clear side indicators have come, so when I get the Likwidart badges through I will be fitting them. Its all taking shape. This is the wheels ready to be fitted.

Looking good mate! Really change the whole look of the car.
 
They look superb. They are on my shortlist of when I change wheels so good to see a photo. Would be interested to see the concave dish at the rear in a photo.

if the weather is ok sunday i will give it a wash and take some more photos for you. it has got a mean look with the rears. :evil:
 
We started to make them monday so should be set mid next week. Then I can fit them on. Should be able to do them next weekend if all goes well.
