my Z4 small Mod thread

Hi All,

i have had my Z4 for a couple of months now and i was not going to modify it as i did this to my last car and lost so much money. but the bug is just too strong :evil: so i thought i would share the progress with you all. i will not be doing anything to OTT this time as the Z4 is not the sort of car to go extreme with. small mods will be the way to go.

so we will start with a photo of her when i got it.





the first mod was to change to a stubby



then i had a crack in the brake light so replaced this with a clear one from BMW and my private plate.



on my last car i had 3D graphics by Likwidart, the car then become the show car for the company so i want to do something on the Z4 but not over the top. so we come up with a new badge to replace the BMW logo as the car has so many logos on it. the Z4 badge will be replaced with a black one and the 3.0i on the side will also go black. the four BMW badges will then be replaced and thats it. i have photoshoped it so you get the idea but not sure what colour combo to do yet.





the next thing was to give it a good machine polish to get rid of some small marks that it had got over the ten years on the road. im very happy with the way its come out and the engine bay had a nice clean.















next is the wheels so i have ordered these.



i will keep this thread updated with the next bits as i go along.

Hey Dazols, recognise that name from the celica club! I used to have a storm blue T sport but then bought a scooby, sold that recently for a 3.0 Z4, you have made a good choice, they are great.

Subtle mods are looking great, can't wait to see those 3SDM wheels on.

Logo may need to be another colour other than red. Think thats whats making it feel too Datsun-like. Otherwise, great thread and some nice mods. Like this wheels and they'll look great on your 3.0. You dropping the suspension any? Done the sound generator mod?

Thanks for the comments good and bad I like them all. The badges will not be the same as the ones posted this was just to see what they look like I have changed the design a bit. The one thing I have always been like is to make the car my own. My last car was the same but each to there own I do like to be different. I love the wheels and cant wait to get them on. Will keep you updated on the rest.

the other thing i was thinking of doing is keep the BMW badge front and rear and just do the side ones on the indicators these will also be replaced with clear ones soon. what's your thoughts?

I'm good thanks, only had my z4 about a month so its still a new toy for me, the scooby it replaced was great but just wanted another smaller car as I rarely have passengers. So far, I have installed a stubby and done the sound generator mod, will keep an eye on this thread to see how yours progresses

Yeah I have not long had mine. Another celica club member had one and I went to look for one and never looked back. The celica may go tonight I've got someone coming to look at it now. Will be sorry to see it go but will never get the use out of it. The Z4 only gets used at weekends if the weather is good.
