As i have said before(i think),i also think your z is one of the best i have seen 
The Exhausts/wheels/aero kit,etc all look fantastic,and your paintwork is just sooo shiny and looks like new. Excellent work

(Although i have to agree with 1 or 2 others,in saying i prefer the aero front bumper u had on before/made it look more unique;but Awesome z4. Well done

Nice to hear that my car is shiny, I took 20 hours of wet sanding and polishing for this finish :rofl:Beedub said:

Wanted short studs becuase I dont like studs outside the wheel nut holes, and they looked nice in gold

Your car looks great. Easily one of the best Z4's on the forum. Your M3 GTR front splitter look ace and have inspired me to get a set!!
I have now managed to get my hands on a set of these replica M3 GTR front splitters. You said that you cut, grinded and polished them to fit the M bumper (the curving shape of the splitter fits the bumper spot on).
Now that I have the splitters, can you give more details on how you did this exactly?. Did you cut the splitter with a simple hacksaw? (what is the best way to cut Carbon fibre?) and how did you polish / smooth it down?
And how did you stick them to the underside of the bumper? (Glue / screws?)
I am starting with a blank page here so any advice you can give me would be great.

Yes I cut them with an air hacksaw, and on the pictures you see where I done the cutting line. Grinded the edges with rough sand paper, then done the stages with smoother and smoother paper, the last touch was with 2000 water paper, then polished it with an polishing-machine. But you dont really have to do this, because it is hard to see the cuted edges when it installed on the bumper, but I like it perfect
And yes, I used screws.

Hi bmwZ, Now I see what you have done.
Initially when looking at the splitters, I couldn't see how their shape suited the bumper (I have a standard post facelift 3.0si bumper). But you simply have used the 'left' splitter on the right and the right splitter for the left side of the bumper. This is VERY clever. Thank you for the detailed information. This is great and it has given me the confidence to try this myself now. I will try this weekend and will post some pics if I manage to get it done. Thank you again.
