My Z4 Coupe :Updated 16/3/09 pg3

That 'stubby' is rather long isn't it.

Motor looks nice, although if I'm honest, I feel you've spoilt the black on black look by painting the calipers.

Hey mmm-five Seems to me from the group shot that M5 owners need to learn how to park :poke:

It was the only way we could park to ensure no-one hit another owner's car when opening the doors.

So here's a little update of a few mods i've done.

And after seeing Tommo's post on the forum about painting his calipers red, i decided to give it a go myself since he'd done it on his black Z with red interior and i thought it looked great:

 Love it, looks great!

That rear Roundel doesnt look right, to much chrome on the outer edge.

Good spot - mine looks very different with a much finer edging ring (unless of course that's the coupe boot release?)

Yes your right it's the coupe boot release.

Yup, the coupé one is that big.

The badge has a small outer ring, but the frame of the mechanism also has a chromed ring which makes it look too thick overall.

The car looks fantastic! I love the interior. Did you do all of these mods yourself? Amazing...Where can I find a g/f like that?

Cars looking good Lucy, needs a wash though ;)

I was thinking of painting my calipers but not sure what colour would look good with Silver.

Ha yeah it look's filthy on some pictures cos i did the mods on Saturday and took some pictures, but i washed it on Sunday and took some of the others.

Depends what colour interior you have in my opinion.

I have black interior, doesn't look that exciting to be honest.

So i had my windows tinted on Saturday, here's a quick picture (bad picture but there's too much sun and i took it out of my office window)
It's allowing 54% of light through the front and 42% on the rear (fingers crossed Mr Policeman won't tell me off :? )

Doesn't look particularly dark from that photo, but I'm surprised any reputable tinting company would risk putting illegal tints on the front windows of a car. Maybe they're just saying it's that dark to keep you happy :D

Did they ask you to sign any disclaimer stating you forced them to do it using your feminine wiles :P

Okay, I know there's no real risk to the company themselves, but if you have an accident and 'visibility' is one of the contributing factors, your may decide to sue the tinting company for putting too dark a tint on - although I realise most of the UK does not have as big a compensation culture as some other countries.

That's dark for the UK, but I bet it looks good

The police can of course use that as the offence they need to pull you and see if there is anything more interesting to get you on. So you'd best keep tyres, insurance, MOT, tax, drink and anything else well under control :)

It does look darker in person. But as i said, it's a bad photo. And i didn't want them too noticeably dark anyway. The legal limit is to let 70% of light through i believe, and as my front are letting 54% it's not too bad i suppose.
On the invoice he put that he'd only done behind the b pillar incase of any conflict. I'm sure i could use my feminine charms and act dumb anyway
If i did have a visibility reduced accident i wouldn't sue, knowing that i knew they were illagal before i'd had them done so it's my own fault :D

Everything else is all above board though :)
