New one is looking fantastic, enjoy :driving:

Cheers Andy. Already hate the silver mirror caps. And so it begins :D

I am not a fan of silver wing mirrors but they are part of the distinguishing kit on the car, just leave them :D

Oh, congrats on the sale, he had a nice day to drive back

I'm right in the middle of the that same thought process. Not convinced the front grill looks good, but decided to leave my matt black one on the old car rather than swapping it over for that very reason.

I think I'll have a "no visual mods" grace period for a few weeks and see how I feel then (apart from the stubby obviously, which was fitted within 10 minutes of arriving home with the car)

It is a tough one but I think when you have a 35iS, it should be kept as close to OE as possible visually, I don't like the silver either but it is a feature on the car, same as the grill

Give it a month or two to see how you feel

I think that colour on the e89 is crying out for black grills. You can always change it back in 5 minutes if you want to.

Last week I put gloss black on mine, for improved aerodynamics - the gloss adds 1mph to the top speed

Not keen on them myself. I always feel like they’re a 2nd hand set fitted because the right colour wasn’t available

Yup - there seems to be a limit on the number of photos you can have attached to posts on the forum. I hit that limit about 20 minutes ago (and had to delete some attachments on really old posts to post that image above). Bit of a shame really as I'll need to start hacking away at old content unfortunately to free up some attachment room.

Is there anything that we can do about that? Some of these photos are really helpful for folks who may want to do the same mods you've done (thinking specifically about removing the phone cradle as an example - which helped me do mine!). More generally, loads of people post really useful photos of how to do mods and fixes and it'd be a real shame to lose them all because of attachment limits. Something for the Mods to think about?

I think actually it was a site wide setting and not specific to me - just needed the global limit changing (which it was) and was fine afterwards.

Incidentally, I've spent the last 18 months telling people how much I regret selling this 30i and wish I hadn't. Quite enjoying AMG ownership though so far.
