My rather special 2007 Black Z4 Coupe 3.0 Si *DEPOSIT TAKEN*

Beautiful car, it's about 2 weeks too soon for me, otherwise I'd be on the M62 about now.

:(

Afternoon everyone,

Well unfortunately the pouring rain has kind of put a dampener (sorry - I'll see myself out) on my plans to get the car washed and valeted today to enable me to take you some more pictures. Its horrible out there!

I did manage to get a shot of the interior however, voila:

Also, I had the car MOT'd on Friday at BM-Tec to ensure it is all in good order for the next owner. It sailed through with only a single advisory - Andy informed me that the rear pads are getting a bit low. He has quoted circa £100 for parts and labour, so will happily either factor that into the sale price or could get it done for the new owner as BM-Tec are only a few minutes away from my offices.

Happy to keep it on the forums only for a little longer to see if any other members would like it, before it goes on general sale via Pistonheads. If you have any questions please feel free to get in touch.

Sale now agreed and deposit taken.

I thought the car would sell quickly, but not that quickly...

I feel sad to be parting with it as its been a cherished car and the best I have owned so far, but pleased that it is going to another enthusiast who I am sure will enjoy owning it as much as I have.

Now that is a lovely looking coupe 8)

Did the bilstein b8's and eibachs give a noticeable affect on ride quality?

Hi Ben,

Sorry, didn't notice your question until now.

I have been really impressed with them. Choosing them was quite nail biting, as there is a lot of conflicting research out there and the dampers plus fitting came to over a grand, so not cheap to undo if I didn't like the results! The sum of my research, including direct discussion with the Bilstein guys at a car show, was that B8s are specifically designed to be used with lowered suspension. When paired with the Eibachs they give a really good ride considering the car is so low and on 19" wheels and the car feels very well damped. Obviously its hard compared to normal cars, but I would say comparable to a standard M-Sport Z4 Coupe on 18s with run flats, but with better damping (i.e. less 'pogoing' up and down if you now what I mean on uneven surfaces). I have used the car as my daily for commuting and light business use for two years now and its been fine. The only time they struggle is with deep potholes or very broken surfaces, but then so would any car with 19" wheels that I have owned I guess. You also have to treat speed bumps with a lot of respect!

Well the car was certainly 'special enough' to sell in what, - 4 or 5 days James?

A cracking Coupe mate, as I said at the time, well done
