I brought my 2.0 in march 2013 and immediately fell in love with it. It was religously serviced and looked after like a pampered wife, anything it needed it got.
I kept it in the best condition possible and drove it everyday for 12 years, it only failed a few times on me but nothing serious. The worst thing was VVT failure which was sorted immediately then rear brakelines failure which caused the only MOT fail in my ownership.
It also was one of the first zeds to have the roof motor moved to the boot, this was in 2014 and i am proud to say it was me and a bloke in germany that started the whole phenominum, it is documented on this forum back in the day.
When i got it, it had 56 000 on the clock and when i sold it, it had 170 000, not bad for a well looked after 4 potter.
In march of this year i sold it to a work mate and bought myself a Jag XF the only reason was, i started to struggle getting in and out of her, getting on in years etc. So wanted some luxury.
So, this "mate" was driving round in the zed untaxed for 6 months. Now just recently they caught up with him and clamped it then transported it away.
I no longer work there so did not know this untill a few days ago when i was told that the zed has now been CRUSHED!!!!
I am gutted to say the least, if i had known this when it happened i would have paid out for any fines etc just to save her from this fate.
Thanks for reading this, as i have been a member here as long has i owned the zed i thought i would let you know.
Cheers all, tug.
