Update on new wheels and exhaust.
The tyres sadly do rub a little, so I’m going to put the almost new PS4’s off my 224M on them (standard Z4M sizes). The less square edges (slight stretch) will easily clear the liners. They are only scraping a little and I was doing some spirited driving down some twisties near me. I don’t want any scraping though.
The RPI exhausts are loud for sure. At low throttle inputs and lower RPM’s the pops and crackles are crazy (addictive I would say). At higher revs it is quieter than at lower revs so I can still hear the induction through the eventuri over the exhaust which is perfect. So currently they are definitely staying especially as this is a fun car only. Certainly it is not a daily.
All in it was a great first drive post winter. Car felt great on the KW V3’s and it ran perfect. It also felt mighty quick. It’s dry and sunny with me and it lit the tyres up in second gear in a perfect straight line on a smooth road with everything turned off (roll on throttle). Can’t tell if it the absence of driving it or something else making it feel so rapid. Anyway it’s great to be back in it.
