My New wheels have arrived :)

Put the wheels back up, I'm really eager to see what they look like.

And make sure you go to a meet with RichardG, because I really want to see him keep this promise:

I again apolgise nothing was meant beyond a bit of ribbing that goes on all over this forum, if we ever meet I will gladly buy you a coupe of pints or whatever your tipple is to show no hard feelings on my side.

That slight typo might cost you dear Rich. :P

Begs the question, I wonder how many pints you can fit in a coupe....

That's the first proper reason I have seen for having a coupe - you can get more beer in it than the roadster because of the roof. But I don't fancy driving with a diving mask on :P

My good friend RichardG popped round to mine on Sunday and I got to see the new mods he has made to his car, his new bastardized rear bumper and his side skirts, IT LOOKED s**t, didn't matter how often I told him he never took offence, I have even offered twice now to remove them for him and dispose of said offensive articles for him. :?

So goes to show if you like it then stick with it and RichardG has apalling taste anyway.
You didn't see the tears on the way home, SWMBO has now hidden all the sharp objects in the house, what makes it worse is the critiques in style from a man who drives a Turquoise car :poke:

Thats just hurtful and full of spiteful venom, I really think you should stop posting on here RichardG, I am now going to search the forum for all the pictures of my car and remove them. and I am going to fit the plankton sucking whale teeth grills and Ben-hur wheels just coz I know you don't like them. :P

On the sad side to all this, navid v has not posted on this site since his retort to JDM last Friday, which is a shame, as it's the banter that makes it such a great site

I just fell over - I think I must've tripped over the toys that've been thrown out of the pram...

C'mon navid, lighten up a bit!

That's it Sars.. make me feel guilty. :poke:

:D not trying to make you or anyone feel guilty, we are all big boys and girls and should be able to cope with the banter, just think its a shame that he has felt the need to withdraw.

and I still haven't seen the wheels either :poke:

Err...didn't JDM just use a smilie to show that he was sitting on the fence about his opinion on a set of wheels? How can that possibly have been taken as an insult? :o

Utterly bloody ridiculous!

i actually suspect John's reaction was due to the fact he'd been out and bought a set of those very wheels and was planning a big unveil shortly.... :)

Kids are starving in the world and we're supposed to be worried about offending someone who bought some wheels.

Words fail me...

Couldn't agree more, this is my reaction to a lot of the OCD stuff that gets posted on here.

We have our priorities wrong somwehere.

You can be offended at someone being offended, but don't dress it up as 'People are starving you are indirectly contributing to it'. Unless you spend the time people wash their cars / typing on a forum on solving the underlying problems - then you're no better than what you claim to hate (dare I say, offended by?). It might sound callous but for me charity begins at home.

There are already way too many people in this world and it doesn't matter how much money you chuck at Africa it will still be corrupt, war-ravaged and these same issues will crop up again and again and again.

If you try and intervene you get accused of imperialism/colonialism.

I'd rather my charity money goes to help people suffering hardship as a result of a natural disaster (ie Japan/Boxing day tsunami's, Haiti earthquake etc).

I've lost all sympathy with Africa I'm afraid. It's time they sorted their own s*** out.

omg.. i thought this was a thread about wheels... not a :slappy:

oh well was an entertaining read

I'll be honest I don't fully understand your post but I think you took my comment a bit to literally, I was simply agreeing that there are some serious problems going on both home and abroad and we worry about where we are park our cars.
But you are right about the offending bit, it seems these days just breathing is enough to offend some one
