I disagree, that's no doubt exactly what DLV wants. As a reasonably active thread this continues to serve as an ongoing warning to anyone considering using him, especially if that involves handing over any money up front. At the moment plenty of us want to see what happens and the Rocket situation resolved. Unfortunately Beebub's missing parts looks like a lost cause.
I suspect DLV is doing all this on purpose and spitefully because Rocket and Beebub had the audacity to post negative comments about him, we all know he reacts badly and aggressively to that. Pathetic and hypocritical in the extreme considering his past rants on here. Thick skinned he certainly isn't. He probably sees it as his way of getting back at Rocket and Beebub for damaging him and will probably only repay Rocket at the last possible minute as bailiffs get involved, visit his premises and start taking his tools and equipment away.

I don’t know him but the locking of the thread will NOT stop people seeing the evidence in the thread in the future and will warn off future customers.
However locking the thread WILL stop these continuous and repetitive complaints. The forum doesn’t need it and if a future customer has read it once they won’t need to read it again and again. He’s done wrong. We can all see that. Let’s lock it now.

I do not know Mike, but I considered using him as his reputation on this forum was good. Then I read a negative comment, and thought well it could be one disgruntled customer, then another and another. Mike was given the 'right to reply' but refused it and his 'silence' is more than worrying. People need to know that time after time Mike could have responded in a proper businesslike way, but did not. I feel that 'sp3ctre' needs to get Mike's point of view and make a decision based on his response , or lack of it. This needs to be managed as it reflects on the forum, regardless of any rules.

At the end of the day no one makes anyone read anything on here, its not compulsory viewing, people choose to click on it and once they've clicked on it they dont have to read all of it. If others also have a grievance against DLV why shouldn't they add it to the thread? Better they add it here than start a new thread about it.
Anyway at this point the thread has evolved and is about a current and on going situation. Namely if Rocket gets his money back or not, something I and others are interested to see, so it makes sense the thread should run at least long enough for that to reach a conclusion.
It's a total joke isn't it. DLV... stand up... be a man. All this over a backbox. Unbelievable.
@Rocket, if it helps I'm more than happy to stand you for the money owed, I'd hope though that through scc you should retrieve it from this cowboy but if time is of any issue let me know. If he shafts you then honestly no worries, I've learnt enough over the years off this forum to have saved me that money.
My first thought was that this thread should be deleted not locked (so as not to advertise his 'sevices'), but the discussion above merits thought about the best way to warn people about certain businesses. I know it can put a forum into tricky situations when it comes to libellous content, but to (my non lawyer brain) I don't see an issue here, they would, at the very minimum, have to prove factual incorrectness.

Mack if it does dissapear then no one will know he has a service, on here! But senseless to keep on bleating on about it now and repeating the facts for your own gratification against DLV.

Its obvious that the thread remaining provides a bit of balance for anyone seeing his name mentioned in other threads and thinking of using him. They can look at this and see how he's treated some members and make a judgement call based on a more rounded picture of the guy. Why would you want to stifle that?
It speak volumes that instead of supporting members he's shafted you rather come on here, be insulting and sanctimonious about it then look to silence them.

I thought I was the only one to have had bad experience so kept it to myself, but to help others out who may be thinking of using him, I'd try very hard to find somebody else.

I honestly can't believe that there are other members on here still using this guy considering whats going on with Rocket and Beedub etc.. But they do and not content with that, they even go as far as publicly posting support for the guy! I do hope they just haven't seen this thread, but I strongly suspect they have. So much for a bit of solidarity and community spirit!
