MA20LON wont be released until 2020 and you couldn't put it on an old Zed either.
Coming up at the next DVLA Auction is MAR20N which would be far better and bidding starts at £400. It can also go on any vehicle built after 1974
Ive always bought from DVLA, Either direct or via their auctions. Always got good value and never sold one for less than ive paid.

My son Oliver's (initials OJ) plate currently on my Alpina until he's 18.
I Didnt pay 4 figures for any of them either. I work in ANPR so plates fascinate me anyway !
The basic rules are the less digits the better as it stands out and a non-year plate is generally better than a recent year plate. People often think my cars are about 2 - 3 years old and are shocked when you tell them its 10+ years old. Non-year plates do wonders to conceal age and value !
