My neighbor is a TW*T!!

Guys, it's just dawned on me reading the posts on here, you all think i meant "blu-tack" as in the Plasticine type product!!

Naah! i wouldnt use that on any part of my work. Sorry for misleading you. I use this;

We call it blue-tack!

I wondered why i was getting banter, but if you thought i used Plasticine then i dont blame you.

I indeed thought that what you ment by blue tack was the putty-product that is sold under the name 'blue tack'...

The hylomar stuff is indeed a well known industrial sealant. (similar to permatex liquid gasket)

But I still think you seriously need to man-up if you cant stand the smell of silicone :poke:

Hi again Guidok, the problem i have with silicone is, i suffer with a reaction similar to being held under water! So i stay well clear of it!

So when you tell me to "man up" i think i am "man" enough to know when to stay well clear of something that has an adverse effect on me.

Thanks for the banter though mate its good fun.

Use plumbers mate if your wanting something similar to blutac

I used this to seal a tear on my dads 15ft diameter and 5ft high swimming pool. Amazing stuff.

If it can stop all that water pouring out, it will definitely stop a few drops of water getting into the housing!

When I did my motor I used butyl tape to seal it, excellent stuff that never truly sets but adheres well and has no Smell...

Is he American then??
This guy should be banned for making that statement.

Skinhead201, you must still be living in a cave to think that the whole "dumb American" saying is still cool in 2015.
Actually your username already tells us that you're a bald racist :P

I didnt bother with silicone on mine i just used gaffer tape around it. The hydraulic lines i feel make it impossible to fully seal the motor casing. I never understand why some people seem to make comments which aren't helpful or even worth saying other that to gain attention. Ignore them Tug! I bet some of these havnt even changed a roof motor making their input invalid anyway. :D

Cheers Dan, hope ya new motor stays dryer than mine did LOL

Cheers, tug.

WTF you on about.? It was a play on the spelling of neighbour/neighbor as I previously stated, the latter being the American spelling. Nothing to do with Americans being dumb.

I'm neither bald nor racist and if you are ignorant enough to think being a Skinhead automatically makes me racist it says more about your ill informed views than it does about me.
