My little project Z4 2.0 Sport..

Really enjoyed reading this thread. So much useful information and as others have said you make it look so easy. Do you ever sleep Mike?

You really are turning into an Ed China
I also like reading your posts as its stuff that I would love to do if I had the space/tools/bottle etc.
I have always done my own repairs and servicing on my bikes but they dont need half as much space or tools.

Nice work Mike ! Your paint looks great now. I wet sanded and DA'd mine a couple of months back and it just makes a world of difference :D

Si, yours looks STUNNING! Is that sterling grey like mine?

Keep meaning to wet sand mine, just never have the time. Might do it a panel at a time..

wow - your Zed looks amazing

Thanks fellas. I blocked it over a few evenings with 2500 then 5000 grit paper and plenty of soapy water. It looks awful when you dry it off and it resembles a matt wrap....WTF ! I then DA'd it a panel it a time with Poorboys SSR 3, 2 and 1. Followed with Blackhole glaze and Collinite 845. It's not perfect under lights but looks bloody amazing in diffused daylight. I might get it in my garage next spring under the lights and have another go. Yes that is Sterling Grey ! The clearer lacquer lets more light to the flake/mica and it looks SO much better.

I have had a few jobs done by these guys over the years. They make it look easy and have saved me a fortune. Looks like a really good result.

I can’t see properly from the last pic, can you not see any damage now mike? If it’s all disappeared he’s done an amazing job!

Not a trace, but it had gone dark by the time I moved them round, as he was working in my garage, as it started raining halfway through.
