My E89 Z4 35i ESS, Dynoed

Then I have finally bought me a E89 Z4 after owning two E85s. I picked my 2009 35i up in Germany and drove it back to Norway. It is Black uni with Canberra beige leather.

The Z4 is pretty good equipped, but has not the full list. It has adaptive M-dampers, Sportsseats, Comfort access, Servotronic, 19" 296 wheels, lightpackage, exterior mirrorpackage, black rooflining, bi-xenon and the most important, a manual gearbox.

I testdrove a car with DKG and it was nothing for me, so I`m really happy with my manual. The manual cars was really hard to find in Germany so it took a while to get me a E89.

I have some plans for my new Z4 of course

-M bumper with 35is grills Check
-M rear bumper with 35is diffuser (painted Maserati grey)
-M steeringwheel Check
-M gearknob Check
-M doorsills
-ESS flash software with 1M torque settings Check
-H&R lowering springs Check
-20" Breyton Race LS Check
-35is exhaust Check
-Delete the rear catalytic converters Check
-BMW X5 35i exhaust tips Check
-LUX V3 angeleyes Check
-Stubby Check
-Coulour the brakes
-Detailing job Check

It will be more than this, but this is a good start :D

Stunning car, i too will be keeping an eye on this tread, thats just the car i would like to swap mine for! a 35i manual in that combination!! :driving:

Stunning Car. You will have your work cut out trying to surpass the work you did on your last E85. That car had to be one of if not the best E85 around.

Really looking forward to seeing what you do with this one.

Happy modding

Looking good already! Can't wait to see what you achieve, if the last project was anything to go by it'll be awesome!! :) remember to keep the amazing pics coming!

X2

Thank you all so much :D
Did some detailing on my Z4s paintwork this weekend. Have allready painted my bonnet because it had some stone chips and yesterday I started to wetsand the whole car to a better finish. Since my hood was painted with a lot of clearcoat I could really get a nice finish, the rest of the car was sanded to a ok finish. The only thing not wetsanded was bumpers. I shall replace them soon :D

I have also mounted my new 20" Breytons, but it looks like a SUV at the moment  Have ordered H&R springs, so more pics of the wheels when they arrive :D

Car looks legit and its good to see another ESS user  But why 20" on an E89? When it looks like your going for performance, your going to need all that 1M torque curve to get them spinning :o

Cars is looking class already
What are the wheel, offset and tyre sizes?
Why H&R over eibach?
Really suits the 20" wheels

Thanks :D I think 19" on a E89 is to small looking, it was ok for the E85. I will not go for performance, more of a sporty/classy Z4 this time. Had been mounted a KWV3 on this by now if i was going for performance. So are you happy with your ESS flash? Nice car you have by the way :D

Thanks "r1andy" :D
They are 20" Breyton Race LS
Offset 35 front/rear
8,5" and 10"
Falken FK453 245/30-20 and 285/25-20

Only because H&R go lower :P

Black always pulls off the classy theme so you should be all good there. ESS is immense, you can catch yourself doing some frankly insane speeds, as you've no doubt found out :D But the cars just as docile as it was before driving around town which is great for me.

Let me know how you get on with the exhaust tips as I've got my eye on some Akrapovic carbon tips from an X6, I figure I could make them fit :) You might not need the 35is exhaust with an ESS tune 8)

Yes, the exhaust sound after ESS flash got really different :D I have allready measured the original X6 tips, they are too big for an nice fit in our bumper. Maby the Akra tips is smaller, but I doubt it.

wow.. just wow

looks great already cant wait to see what you do with it.

I thought the reason you had a 2.2 before was due to the tax in Norway?

Isnt this 3.0 killing you in maintenance?
