@ Bing... sorry! some of them can be diluted right down... makes them very cheap... ;)

2 key things with windows.... 1 use very little product... very little... 2 use two short pile cloths (glass cloths) one to put on, and one to buff off... oh and 3... yes, 3 key things with windows... 3 go different ways on each side... so outside go up/down.. inside go left/right, then it's easier to see what bits you've missed! :rofl:

let me see what I have left over and I'll get something sent out...

don't worry, when you get to the stage of buying a microscope to look at fallout and scratches in paint (54x zoom) and get it delivered to your hotel in the USA... then... then.... you can start to worry...

After last nights detailing talk fest I got all inspired and washed the car for the first time today. The paintwork is singing now and I even attacked the pipes with Autosol - although they were pretty bad and still not perfect. Any more industrial way of cleaning the tips?
 
A polishing ball that attaches to a normal drill...

Difficult to say without seeing the tips but careful application of a Dremil with a very fine polishing stone or one of these will help with really bad bits - then polish with metal polish afterwards

Alternatively Britemax Easy Cut is a bit more aggressive than Autosol and may help with stubborn marks.

You can also apply the polish by hand and use one of these in a battery powered drill to buff - may need to repeat several times but it's a lot easier on the fingers

Inkey$, not wishing to add to your shopping list but I will :D

Invest in both Iron X and Tardis. Tardis will break down the worst of any tar spots etc and Iron X will remove iron deposits on the wheels and paintwork. It bleeds pink as it breaks down the contaminants.

Use these before claying.

Whatever you do though, do not get Tardis on your clay or it will turn it into a very sticky gunk like window putty that sticks to everything. (Ask me how I discovered this...)

Mr Inkey$, I have spent a fortune in cleaning products since buying the car off you, you name it, I have something for it... Detailingworld is a dangerous website!!

In one of the first weekends having her I spent 8hrs on the Saturday cleaning the car, and a further 4 hours on Sunday cleaning... I was dead by the end!! One thing I have learned is prevention is better than cure, seal and wax all you can, makes cleaning so much quicker!

Oh, and I find claying the most therapeutic process ever!! I personally use a hose constantly on fine mist setting and keep the surface wet... Okay as long as you are not on a meter! :thumbsup:

I would share a photo but don't want to hijack or stir emotions (unless you are over her?)

Ha! Emotions would probably be stirred! Good advice. My grit guard bucket and Dodo Juice Orange Crush turned up today so I'm getting my kit together! You're do right about it being therapeutic. My personal favourite is chrome tips :)

I was going to wash my car tomorrow before going to Scotland, even though it'll be raining. Then I saw the forecast for the way up on Saturday and it looks like rain most of the way too. Guess I will be packing some kit and combat-washing at my Dad's when we get there... How sad is that :oops:
 
Probably not as clean after today/this evenings events but still pretty clean! Yeah, saw that weather. Sweeping across so reckon your plan for an arrival spec up is all you can do. Have a wicked trip up there with WeeBing too. 5am (?) get those tunes on and foot down until you see mountains :)
 
Yep, 5am - brilliant time to be on the road. Drive it like you stole it :evil:
