My bagged 3.0i Z4

Just thought I’d post some up to date pictures of my z4. Had it for nearly 3 years now . Bought as a standard car with Fsh etc so it was a solid base to begin with. Iv since replaced things like the starter motor and fuel pump , almost every bush on the car and a host of other parts covering the common faults (wishbones, rocker cover etc)
Modified probably not in the taste of a lot of members on here but I appreciate all feedback good or bad .

“Mod” list :

Bc racing struts
Only charged dubs airbags
Airlift 3p air management
Custom manifold back single 2.5” exhaust - twin 3.5” tips
Rota slipstream 18x9.5 , 18x10.5 wheels - satin bronze centres and diamond cut lips .

Mtec black edition drilled/grooved discs all round
Rear adjustable camber arms
Recaro pole positions retrimmed in nappa leather and highland tartan centres. Mated to planted technology bases with recaro side mounts.

Nardi “deepcorn” wooden steering wheel with nrg short boss.
Vinyl sunstrip
Side skirt extensions wrapped gloss carbon
Diy plywood splitter wrapped gloss carbon with splitter rods
Hella horns behind grills
Black gloss grills
Front bumper holes smoothed off when painted
Rear bumper/sideskirts and front wings also painted
Headlights tinted light smoke
Rear lights tinted all red
Led number plate lights
Cone filter
Debadged the back and sides.
“Static” front plate for quick removal at shows etc.
Tyre “stickers”

All I can remember at the moment .
For anyone that is interested in the stance of the car I run 4.2 degrees camber in the rear and 3 degrees on the front .
My front 9.5 wheels are mated with 215/35/18 tyres and my rear 10.5 are mated to 245/35/18. Il be swapping out the wheels for something less aggressive next year to run less camber etc.

Must of took you forever to get the fitment so dialled in. Not my cup of tea but it does look like youve put a lot of time and effort into doing it properly. Looks ace

I used to be a detailer , now it’s mainly a hobby . Anything that hasn’t been painted I have wet sanded and machine polished up . Products wise I tend to just go with a glaze , sealant and then a wax . Any of the “brand” names , don’t tend to stick with a single brand . Paintwork is in great condition to be fair . The metallic really pops in the sunlight .

Thanks , yeah getting the fitment spot on is just trial and error . The rear wheels are et 22 and sit spot on with the camber /tyre setup . The fronts needed a 20mm spacer to bring them out to et 15 to sit arch to lip .

Very nice. My favourite mod are those Recaros with tartan centres!
Would love to see some pics when raised to everyday driving height.

If you don't mind me asking, where did you get the seats retrimmed and how much did they charge? Looking at doing something with my PPs (maybe alcantara all over, or different colour cushions).

I’m sure I paid £140ish for the tartan as I bought it myself and wanted to go for a heavy , hard wearing material. I think then it was around £750 for the two seats to be done . Even at that I think I got a good deal getting that quality leather I did for that price . Bridge of weir nappa leather , the quality is unreal. Location wise it was a company called Optimus in Glasgow area .

Glasgow might be a bit far for me...but the price looks good.

I was getting quotes of £600 just for the redoing the cushions in alcantara, but seeing the tartan has made my rethink my choice, and might try to find some m-sport cloth that I had in my M5.

Looks cool. The bagged look isn't my style, but I understand that it's better for everyday driving as you're not stuck at a silly low ride height, like the 'static' stuff is.

Paintwork looks a lot better than mine. Haven't washed it for a few months :lol:

Having had years of low static cars I wouldn’t look back now . Just can’t see a downside to the air ... apart from initial cost of course . However with a lifetime warranty il just bring it with my to my next toy , and all il need to re-buy are the struts .

Mine is packed away now for the winter . My OCD doesn’t allow me to leave it dirty E90 330d for daily duties

I'm not a fan of slammed cars, but fair play to the OP for getting his car exactly as he wants it. And it doesn't really matter what anyone else thinks!

At least he can raise it easily when on the move, but it isn't quite so straightforward on the MC I've just bought that is on coil-overs. :lol:

They go right back to the rear panel and sit slightly lower if not the same as the lowest setting on the standards .
