My 3rd E85 in Maldives Blue

Having found a good home for my 2nd E85, a 2.5l in MB, I spotted this 3.0l auto which seemed to represent a good trade up.

78k with all the gadgets - 10-speaker professional hifi, 6-cd, PDC, xenons, cruise, cupholders, storage pack, heated electric memory seats.

It was bought a year ago by the previous owner and has had barely any use since then. Service history is patchy but has had recent Service 2. I was a little worried about the paint as the surface was quite marred, but after a wash, clay bar and polish, the paint is actually pretty good.

Just needs a new set of wheels, maybe a seat upgrade, a bit of custom painting (braces, callipers, interior trim) and a good strip down and clean over the winter.

Before then, time to get some driving in while the weather holds :driving:

Looks smart. Keep you busy over the Winter months. Are you going to do a Stuart. Get it all sorted and the sell it? :D

Yeah, on that mileage you should get £15k at least. :poke: :D

I think if the price was right he would sell his grandmother.😉

You're really getting addicted to them Ben!

Your latest sounds like a good starting point with that mileage and some good options. How long until you are buying M-Sport seats?

Cheeky. If only I could remember where she was scattered.

I’ve never bought a car to sell. With the first one, I did as much as could to it, then passed it on to someone who could do more (and did). With the second I had too many cars, so one had to go. However, two went which meant I had room for another.

Soon as I find good ones at the right price. Wheels too, I’m thinking 107s or MV2s (or 224s at a stretch) in a gunmetal grey.

Good luck with the seats.

107s look great but Wassup has a set of anthracite 224s with new tyres for sale, albeit not cheap!

I might be interested in your daisy wheels. Are they normal tyres or runflats?
I'm taking delivery of my own Maldives Blue Z4 soon. I expect the 18inch alloys and run-flats that are on it
will be a bit too uncomfortable for my tired old carcass

My technical incompetence got that statement in the wrong place. It was really meant to refer to Stuart! So please forgive me. Mind you if the cap fits ……

Forgiven. I’m definitely not the person who would sell his grandmother.

Avons on the front, Continentals on the back. I don’t think they are run flats as the car came with a rat-tail puncture repair kit and a can of tyre gunk. They ride pretty well, although the daisies themselves are not in perfect condition. Are you anywhere close?

Hi guys. Found a puddle under the front nearside yesterday and assumed it was a crack in the coolant header tank, but turns out it was leaking from the headlight cleaner nozzle (and the other side is weeping slightly too). What can be done about this, short of replacing the headlight cleaner?

simple fix Ben- pop the arch liner off, take the hose off the back of the washer, refit a new generic rubber o-ring

I bought a pack of various sizes from halfords a while back and its been invaluable
