My 3rd E85 in Maldives Blue

[ref]Zedebee[/ref],

I have a set of MV2s on mine if you'd like a picture of them on a Maldives blue zed?
All I ask in return is your driver side wing :P

simple fix Ben- pop the arch liner off, take the hose off the back of the washer, refit a new generic rubber o-ring

I bought a pack of various sizes from halfords a while back and its been invaluable
Then remove Fuse 40 so they never work again. Pesky things!

I may be procuring a maldives breaker soon...

The water is leaking out of the bug-eyed nozzle at the top of the washer; will a new o-ring at the hose connection fix that? Discovered when I took the bumper off, so I have room for a good poke around.

Ah

I’ve only had leakage in the connections

May need to pop it off for a look

Also, does anyone have a good source of the blind (push through) rivets for the front wheel arches? The ones on eBay seem to be of a different design and my OEM supply has run out. I could use round headed 6mm expanding rivets, but I prefer the original look.

That sounds like the same problem I was having with mine. I had bought a used jet but when Ross tried to fit it that leaked as well. Between us we managed to remove the "plunger" that pops up out of the body of the jet and he fitted a new rubber O-ring to that which solved the problem. It took 2 of us because you need at least 3 hands to hold the jet, release the plastic tabs and pull the centre out!

That’s worth a try. I have a pair of broken ones I took off the old car, so I’ll have a play with those first.

I got a set from Halfords.
Think it was these if I remember correctly

   first dibs on wing :D

Damn it Ben!

[ref]bigwinn[/ref], as you've likely noticed, we're both looking for the same wing in the same colour...

Buddy, I know you are more desperate than me. You can have first dibs on this one. :D

These wings are honestly like hen's teeth. Starting to consider selling the car with the damage but no idea what I'd get for it with the damage despite all the work I've put into it.

Explains why I don't know what they are. Don't have xenons!

Or a 3 litre - they all had headlamp washers as standard regardless of the type of lamps.

The xenons are worth having, but the headlight washers are more trouble than they are worth :x

That's so true.

Once I got the leak on mine fixed I pulled fuse 40 to stop them putting streaks on the front wings and ejecting caps and sometimes jets!

Cars registered before some date in 2009 don't need them even with Xenons, so the MOT isn't a problem. :)
