My 2006 Z4MC with 2009 registration info?

Hey guys.

Wondered if anyone coud shed some light on something that has me confused.

I am getting my 2006 Z4MC ready for sale, but upon looking at the log book I noticed it says 'Date of first registration: 2009' and also 'Date of first registration in UK: 2009'

How could this be? Car has service information since 2006.

I'm not sure as I am not with the car at the moment. I purchased the car from Russell in 2014 at Knights Garage.

Might have been an import from Ireland, so was re-registered once it became permanently a UK car?

That might be it!! Previous owner was somebody from County Antrim according to the cars paperwork.

Probably first registered in the Channel Islands

NI registrations didn't show up on DVLA back then. I seem to remember that this has changed now and the details get transferred over.

Right. I phoned up DVLA and explained the situation and they stated that they correctly put 2009 as date of registered in the U.K as the car came from NI at that time, but incorrectly put 2009 as the manufacture date.

Lady I spoke to told me to send in the log book with a cover note so the date of manufacture can be correctly changed from 2009 to 2006.
