M3's are lovely but there's no rarity factor there. Too many of them around for me to consider one. The only exception would be the CSL. You could get a nice CSL for the money that the 35iS is listed for. I know because I looked on Pistonheads yesterday!
The 35iS is a lot of car for that money but i don't think there's much love for them out there in the market. When you compare their values to 1M's (which were a fair bit cheaper) its shocking how much they've fallen.

They are Stuart. Just think how pig sick you'd be if you'd been torn between a 35iS and a 1M 2 years ago and plumped for the Z4!! One would've fetched 20k trade-in the other probably 35k!! Ouch!
I think the 1M was a limited run? Not 100% on the looks, the colour makes or breaks them. Saw a fair few hooning last time I was in Germany

Yes I think there were about 450 of them and available in just 3 colours -White, Sapphire Black and Valencia Orange (which the 2013 E89 will be available in). According to Eastern Boy on the Pistonheads M-Power board (who I think is the Sales Manager at Eastern BMW Edinburgh) the White ones hold their value slightly better although I think the difference is marginal.
