Must stop looking at AUC

35i and 35is are stunning cars. I speak from experience. On the Hampshire runs, I could keep up with Peppermint in his M ....I'd be interested to hear from someone who has gone from an M to the 35i/35is, and get their views

So Stuart; what formula did you use to work out the potential cost change ratio?

PS. Go for it

What I think it's worth minus what I want for mine. Include any upcoming expense on mine as a negotiating factor. My warranty will need renewing next month 1k. Otherwise in good condition

If you don't have kids, the Z is perfect. And I can fit a full size suitcase in the boot, so it's great for going away in...

If you have kids and a second car like Stuart, then that's ideal too

Changing to an E89 still won't get you out of a bit of sand :poke:

I won't get rid of the M any time soon as the value is negligible compared to what I would need to spend on getting something else, so might as well keep it.

The E89 driving feel would be too similar to my X5 drive so the difference between weekend / week car would not be big enough for me.

The Alpina roadster cannot date unlike the Z4 whatever model you chose. Thats why it holds its value better!! I am a triffle bias though for some reason. :)

Is it the black one or white one?

Assume the 2 yellow ones are to far away from you.

The white one. It's practically on my doorstep. High miles, but as a second car they'll come down to average within a year/18 months
The white one is cracking value for Money & I love the 35is loads too & I sometimes consider selling the 5 series & the M & just going to one as the missus has the TT, I love the rarity of the 35is my only tiny gripe is the DCT gearbox as I am old fashioned & enjoy a manual but majority of people love the DCT what are your thoughts? :)

I had a DSG Golf Edition 30 and it was by far the best box I've had in a car.
Thanks for the quick response Stu  it will suit you down to the ground then & I know the DCT is very sort after & the 35is has DCT only... I am getting excited for you! It's alot of motor for the money plus I am a sucker for a white car :)

I'm going to test drive it and see what it's like. If it's not an engaging drive they can keep it. I shall just have to try and maintain a rational head. Hmm

Good luck with the test drive & let's us all know how you get on  I can certainly see the appeal the E89 is one sexy looking car imo :)

So if the Z is a toy, why ruin it by having another "comfortable" cruiser instead of a bruiser ...
