My wife loves the looks of the car and was glad I had it instead of a bike but said she would never drive it. When I took her out in it for the first time she said it was uncomfortable and too fast. Then, necessity came knocking and she had to drive it as the Mini was in for a service and she had to get to Uni.
She came back with a big grin on her face that evening. A month or so later (June) I was in hospital and it was a very stressful time for her so I suggested she took my car out with a friend of hers for a shopping trip - they both loved it. Now it's any old excuse to drive it and when I suggested I might sell it next year and go back to a bike she did her utmost to talk me out of it

Some women just don't understand. I know both my parents made similar comments such as ride was hard, bonnet was long etc before I sold it.

My wife doesn't drive (pedestrians and motorists nationwide heave a sigh of relief), but she does love being a passenger in the Zed, especially with the top down in the scenic seasons. Even bought me a BMW maintenance kit with all kinds of cleaners and brushes and stuff in it. And a very nice Z4 key holder, come to think of it. No animosity between wife and car at all. In fact, I think she secretly gets a bit miffed if I go out in the Zed without her. Gotta have the occasional solo hoon though!
Oh, and in case anyone is wondering if we're just married and still madly in love or something ... nah, we've been married 32 years.

my wife actually persuaded me to buy both of the zeds that we've had. not that i needed a whole lot of persuasion, but i would have gone for something a little more 'practical'. the zed is useless for me as a gigging guitarist in a rock band, so my wife has to act as roadie and take me to gigs in her audi.
