No need to apologise - the singling out of you made no sense what so ever to me either. There have been and always will be off-forum runs / meets / dinners / holidays etc, you can not have a nationwide meet for everything.
Even the subject of this thread had a meet in France with a small group of members, and why not? It is unlikely that he could invite all 10000 z4-forum members to his house in France.
It's not about people not being invited to every run or meet, people have meets all the time, but
It's about being told the primary reason you were actively not invited to certain meets was because of tension between myself and Paul, over something that he was as much to blame for (if not more,by interfering in other people's routes and planning for a sizeable meet),and that had happened the previous year, and which those people organising said (recent) meets quote it as the main reason for my exclusion, despite not actually being present at said Skye meet, when the disagreement took place.....
Clearly, these people have taken Paul's version of events,as I haven't discussed it with them, and as said they were not present at the Skye run.
This in itself hurt me quite deeply, but hey, what does that matter.
Paul acts like he is always Me nice guy and just trying to help!
Well it's not helping my health any, stressing about why people were not wanting to hear my side of things gone past,or that certain people were asked not to say anything to me about the meets in advance,p putting them in an awkward position.
And it wasn't helpful of Paul when he came on the 2015 National and changed the routes,i bit my tongue and said very little....
Then he wanted to change the routes again in August that same year(just weeks after the National), for various reasons, petrol, better way of doing it,etc and he has said on or through this forum to me,that he was only trying to help,as "he knew the area".
(Does he think that I don't know Skye,etc....I only Lived/worked there, and have been on,travelled to and from many a part of it,Skye included, and driven up there for work, visiting friends who worked there, and on trips or CARCLUB and forum runs??!!)
Not helpful when I said,3 times, that Petrol was available nearby, inc Super, and people needing it had time before we left, and by Reversing the route,asPaul wanted to,would have messed up all my weeks and months of planning Routes, toilet breaks,Lunch booking etc.
Yet this wasn't the answer Paul wanted,so then he went and ignored what I had said, despite it being My Organised meet, not his.....
And then went and gathered several people round him,m ap in hand, explaining how we could do the route in Reverse!!
At which point,i got upset at him,and with valid reason I would think.
I have never ever, and would never do that to him,or anyone else..if I suggested a Route change, etc to a meet organiser,on several occasions, and kept being told No,its fine, and why that wouldn't work, then I would have left it alone....Not try to force the Route change by getting others on side.
As I said, not helpful or a nice thing to do,in my book.
Now it's being used against me,and the main reason why I was actively excluded/not invited ,to recent meets in Scotland by people I had thought as friends, and had been on many runs with over a few years, until some changed cars....but this was a mixed meet of car makes,so not just a Porsche thing either.
So please stop making me out to be the bad guy, folks
