Mr Wilks inspired blast out... 3 counties.

Z4M-2006

Lifer
 High Peak,Derbyshire.
With Andy doing a great road trip yesterday,i thought i would pop into the local town for petrol and ended up doing 3 counties instead....lol..

Derbyshire,Cheshire and Yorkshire.

Just a couple of pics....

Dovestones reservoir

Heading out away from Indians head

Met my own pack on the road in Holme village...

Holme Moss...

Crowden...

Lane to home.....

Was a good ride out and stretched the Z's legs.... These cars really are a weapon, big numbers come up very quickly.

Its now fly and bug encrusted so time for a clean and a few beers....

I passed your house Pete...

I thought If you was out and about I would say hi.... Cars looked tucked away..

Cheers Mr Wilks

Not been out for a couple of days. Needed a reminder of what fun lies out there in the green valleys of Britain. Zed's coming out tomorrow for sure. :)

how about a similar blast tomorrow?

I won't lie , it's your E89 that dangles in front of me like a carrot
It looks ace & i know the performance numbers must be like fast forward when behind the wheel
Just now though i enjoy the rawness & feel of the ZMR & thinking back to when i owned & sold my 964 for the newer 996 i don't want to make the same mistake again with E85 to E89
Wheels look sooooooooooo right on it

Very nice pictures. Love those wheels!

Also took mine for a little blast tonight back from the cinema. Roof down, 30c with clear skies at night - perfect. Lots of popping and overrun bouncing off the walls and buildings... love this car :driving:

Hi Taz,
Yep a little run would be good, be bringing Mrs M along she loves a bimble,See you at Dovestones 10.30 ,
Cheers Maurice.

To be fair the 996 just happened to be the worst of all 911s but that doesn't mean it was a bad car :?
it was such a change from aircooled 964 & almost instantly i missed the noise & smell & simplicity of what was a fairly rudimentary car to a modern water cooled supercar

same with the Z4 in a way , the E89 will never have the DNA of a normally aspirated ZM car

I got beat to it...

Please don't compare my E89 to a 99shits..

It's everything the 911 isn't.... Lol...

On a serious note, have a go of it and see if there the kinda thing you like?
I got it at some serious angles today... Did feel a bit heavy and numb, but at very high speeds..

Below 80mph it felt very nippy and precise... I haven't had a prolonged blast at high speed in it and it's impressed me 10 fold... I knew it was good, but it really is a decent thing...

Know how you feel. Had me checking the classified's this evening.

Another look at the pics & no schmoooze  those alloys are by far the best look for E89s , they do look awesome & this pic will sell the car ive no doubt
