MPG

In the UK average about 31. I have never got better than 33 here, even on free flowing motorways.

Nice rich eurofuel and uncongested roads on the continent give nearer 37. And that average was with 4 alps crossings -you know which ones- and a few laps of the 'Ring to break up the journey on the way down to Como....

Have been trying to figure out why its so different though. Is it the 1 extra octane they have in the pumps or do they have more efficient road surfacing? Anyone got ideas on that?

3.0i 2003 - around town normally average 22mpg but on my long West Sussex to Leicestershire commute at 75mph-ish I regularly get 38mpg average and once even did 42mpg taking it really easy.

Obviously a quick blat around the country lanes near Lutterworth soon bring this average crashing into the twenties..!

Getting on average 33 mpg from my Roadster S, 39 mpg yesterday on a long motorway run, not bad for 3.4 and over 300 horses :D

Picked my Z4Csi up on Monday from London and on the 300 mile journey back to Newcastle got 37.1MPG :o Couldn't believe it!!!

Awesome car.... will post a alreet all and some pics up 2moz

Bloody amazing...i got 34mpg and i was proper going at it on the way back from the dealers. At the top end i got 38mpg, and the lowest it fell was 33..

This is over a 200 mile journey on motorway with some stop/start traffic on the M27! :x

i gotta say, i'm really impressed with my 3.0!

my previous car (highly tuned 2.0 20v Turbo) was returning 20-22mpg normal driving, with the same driver at the wheel i'm seeing 28.5mpg :D i'm more than happy

I did a long run last weekend from Stafford, down to Windsor then to Southampton, then back again the following day. I managed a trip average of 39mpg! managed over 460 miles on that tank, though I did run it until the indicator send about 20 miles left. Really impressed, though she is very thirsty when driving hard but thats fair enough.

Just got back from a weekend mountain biking in Afan, Wales, got 45.5 mpg with the car loaded, very nearly 500 miles out of a tank :D

OMG I hate these threads - makes me realise I must have a really heavy right foot!
I'm lucky to get 20-22mpg in "normal" driving, and just about nudge 30mpg on a long motorway run..
Fun though!

Good effort  If it's too high it's just embarrassing on a forum like this

Almost got it down to single figures on track, but couldn't quite do it!

Excellent. I take it you'll have another go :)

My TT does 12 between here and the pub

Absolutely! :D
Maybe if I hadn't included the cool down laps it would've been single figures, dunno. I must try harder!
