I have 8 watches... lol, not all expensive ones but I do like different colours and things.

Have two Armani's an orange Invicta and a T W Steel.

I know they're no Rolex or Ebel's but love them all the same.
 
I've got one like that, paid £65 for it a couple of years ago in Turkey and it never misses a beat! :wink:

Watches are another hobby of mine...

I think I'm up to 9 now, going from the very special (my seiko kinetic birthday prezzie, 15 years old, worthless in a £££ sense mind you, but when I pick it up, it starts and keeps time perfectly)

At the other end of the £££ scale, I have a couple of Patek Philippe watches, one of which is my daily, the other for more special occasions...I feel very privileged to be able to afford and look after them, both over 120 years old...

And a few in-between like Omega, G-shock and IKE...

I guess it true then that you merely look after a Patek Philippe for the next generation with that sort of lifespan. :o

Yeah, anyone that can't grasp the value in watches and that sort of workmanship needs to look into them.

Don't ever wear a watch. I've got a cheap Argos one in a drawer somewhere. If I need to know the time I look at my phone.
I cannot ever recall looking at some ones watch and thinking, that's a nice watch, in fact it's not something my attention would be drawn to. If you asked me which of my friends wore a watch I honestly couldn't tell you.
As someone said it's a personal thing and a watch is not something that ticks my tock.
 
I am pretty sure all of us have a hobby or a passion that to someone else is worthless, but each to their own. Some stunning watches here , no surprise there though. Thanks for posting guys. Keep them coming.

Citizen Eco drive and a "vintage" late 60's Citizen, as much as I'd like to spend £xxxx on a watch I know it would get trashed so I don't bother, saying that I do have a $20 Rolex somewhere in the house that fooled a mate that used to sell them and one that has a collection and big money watches, not saying it would pass an internal inspection but it looks the part and sometimes even manages to keep time :rofl:
 
Like a lot of you was fascinated with watches when younger, but only in the last 5yrs got into the more expensive gear, and is most definitely an interest/passion as it doesn't make sense when you tell people you spent 600quid servicing a 30yr old watch
