it's funny, as much as I love my watch, if someone asks me the time, my first reaction is always to pull the phone out...

That is funny. Is it because you cant read the time on an analogue watch? :poke:

Like a lot of you was fascinated with watches when younger, but only in the last 5yrs got into the more expensive gear, and is most definitely an interest/passion as it doesn't make sense when you tell people you spent 600quid servicing a 30yr old watch
Each definitely to their own

You do know that for an automatic watch, by the time it's goes for a service it's movement has done around 22.5k miles! Just like a car it needs a service to keep it in tip top condition. And £600 is cheap for a service on a good watch.

as with everything, there's the price you pay for what you like, it's an oldie but a goodie...

..well it takes longer for sure!

OH got me a Skagen for Christmas. Great value for money IMO, wear it everyday and not a single mark on it. And it keeps time well enough for me not to be late!

Despite it being a fairly cheap watch, I get lots of positive comments about it.

Would love 'proper' watch at some point but whenever I have £3k+ burning a hole in my pocket we are usually due a holiday!

Sae, that's a lovely Tudor, what model is it? I'm currently planning to get a Tudor Pelagos, just need to get a dealer to get one in for me without having to put down a big deposit.

Cheers, it's a Tudor Ranger II, there are a few variations out there.
Yep old watches are great you just need to try and find the best example you can afford and then keep it maintained... Just like keeping the zed :)
