My only real fear of safety and the future is: Donald Trump
In my life time there's always been terrorist attacks, and I am pretty sure there will be more unfortunately, REGARDLESS of any 'actions' suggested here. I do think we have a awesome police and security force here, but it worries me hearing of budget cuts, now of all times.

Just to note as a point of reference:
More people/pedestrians where killer by London Buses in 2015 than by terrorists in the last 30 in London.

I commute into the city of London everyday. Does it bother me? NO!
It bothers me that my parents and partner might worry, like i worried about my older sister who worked in London for 18years and seemed to attract every terrorist incident between 1987 and 2005. My Father was born in 1938, 1 year before the start of WW2, im pretty sure that was a lot more intense.

As an aside, the regulation of the Internet chat is worrying. The whole thing relies on deregulation and transparent interoperability to function. Politicians (for example) who don't have a full appreciation for how it works, technically, or understand that it only exists because of certain, time-honoured principles of derestricted communications and open standards, seem to have an objective in their head that is analogous to removing all quiet and/or secluded public spaces to avoid people having private conversations, or even bugging the air between our mouths! It just sounds like an attempt to tell a significant proportion of the electorate what they want to hear and will end up, like nearly all other ventures to this end, to be a horrific waste of money and good intentions.

Unfortunately, the Internet, just like the physical world, needs to be constantly and rigorously policed via hard graft and tactful interventions, without suspicion or predjudice, and without the introduction of overbearing restrictions of movement, communication or privacy for the general public.

When you see videos like the one shown by Ranski ,it makes my blood boil.These people don't like the way we live our lives in the UK,so let's do them a favour,round them up and deport them to a place where they will be happy,Afghanistan or Syria.The longer they are allowed to preach there hatred to the west ,the more brazen they become.A few plane loads out and they will start to get the message that the Uk will not tolerate this type of behaviour..

And there you have it in a nut shell, accept it for what it is and learn to live with it! Those that take the moral high ground choose to ignore the bleeding obvious and at the same time labels anyone else who dares make valid real world observations as a racist.
Over the last weekend I had 2 significant things to deal with related to our asian bretheren. 1. A group of us had been out on Friday night and a girl friend asked us to walk her past the leering, threatening UBER drivers who now hole up in a council car park. The car park is now a toilet (literally), strewn with rubbish and yet our council refuses to accept what so many others can see and have to contend with. 2. My daughter walked acrioss London Bridge on Saturday afternoon and thankfully before that scum showed up and enacted their vile idealogy. Understandably she was/is shocked to say the least but apparently she was at less risk than if she had driven there and we should just accept it. Oh pleeeese, do me a favour!!
I'm afraid my tolerance is being sorely tested and so is many others. I too saw the clip of the woman referred to earlier in the posts and thought, she's advocating intergration and all I can see are her eyes - wtf! Wake up and smell the coffee libertards.

But if you don't do anything, they breed at twice the speed as us Westerners, so if you don't do anything about it, a future problem will be twice as big as they preach the hatred to their children as well they don't fit into our society. From the 1 million migrants that Germany took alone recently, how are we as a Western society going to cope with additional people from a civilisation level that we left a long time ago.

I don't know the solution either, but I am watching this influx of lunacy with fear and the second generation (so born here) are likely to be worse as they still don't fit in our society due to their upbringing (generalised of course).

I am sure that this whole situation is one that added to the Brexit vote, but as pointed out, probably for the wrong reason.

I think a few of you are getting a little too carried away with Fear (and a mild phobia of foreigners), which is everything that London is not!
Its always been a diverse multi cultural capital that tolerant and strong, which will always make it a target for people that want to damage our society, but as with recent event ends up uniting us more.

Quite possibly initially until you've shipped off/ locked up the existing racist (yes, it's a 2 way street!!!) extremists! Who else would have a problem with doing this?

Sadly, these attacks aren't going to stop now, and are undoubtedly going to get worse. The authorities are doing an amazing job, but can't possibly thwart every attack. Surely it's only a matter of time before some of these cowardly scum get hold of automatic weapons, etc.

There is clearly no easy answer, but sure as night follows day, sitting on our hands waiting to see what happens next and hope our intelligence services stop all attacks ain't going to make things better!
