Omg you lot, I'm not stupid I wouldn't have drowned my little zed you know!

Next time take your push bike, waders and a snorkel :telloff:

...however I do take childish delight in making big waves in the air by driving though deep puddles at the edge of the road :P

As jeeper said if you knew where the air intake is you would not do it as water and piston just go bang most times totol engine ouch!!
zed worth nothing without engine. :o

The water splashing up was twice as high as the car!

Oh dear Carol, way way too fast, all you have too do is crawl at snails pace and keep the revs higher than normal = no splish splashing bow waves and water potentially going up your zorst and other orifices :? Its surprising how little water it takes to enter the engine and once under compression killing it for good.

to be fair, that doesn't look that deep.

you don't need to be going too fast to create that kind of spray either.

mind you - roof up or down :?

Thank you! It wasn't that deep I was in the middle of the road and doing about 10mph

Roof up - sorry, the shame as it wasn't raining by then!

Carol . just the thought of my zed anywhere near that situation has given me palpitations & a rash on my neck
i,m needing a lie down

That is nowhere near as high as your spray was;to add to the lecture : hot turbo + cold water = disaster.
