As you can see I was a busy Monkey today!! Up at half seven tomorrow  got to clean up and get stuff ready for felt and battens hopefully doors and windows in ready for the big storm!!!! :o :x :|

After a terrifying day I have the felt an battens on so the structure us safe and water tight. Well almost hot to fit doors and windows!! I will post some pictures tomorrow when I am at my PC. Should be fitting the doors and windows Thursday morning then flying off to UAE Thursday evening. Spend a few days there catch the F1 qualifying with my best mate. Then we are flying on too Thailand to see some more friends it's a hard life!! :)

Ok as i couldn't link the pictures from my ipad hear goes again :)
Last weekend we put the floor down and then got rained off  but we where able to pre cut all the joists for the roof so Saturday loads happened. We got the joist up and ridge in double quick time only took about 2-3 hours. Then came all the bolting together of collars and screwing bolting wall plates and all the work that dose not really show you have done anything. hear is where we got to Saturday.

And then again yesterday another early start and long day :( Glad i am going on holiday i will need it!! As we all know it was very windy yesterday. I probably should not have been up on the roof!! Especially as i don't like heights but needs must. And i need this to be water tight and be able to lock it up before i go away. Holding on to a roll of felt on a windy day is like trying to hold a sail i found out. After much shaking white knuckles and brown pants!! we got to this stage.

Looking good Matt - get the outside wind/waterproof before the bad weather sets in and then you're cozy doing the fitout over the winter

Assume you're going to tile the roof?

Yeah i am trying to get it all sealed up stone work before it gets to bad. It should all have been done by now but the accident nearly cutting my feet off and the skin cancer thing delayed starting and then held things up. We are away on holiday as of Thursday so more delays!! Yes the roof will be tiled but we are running out of cash fast

Tell me about it... It's surprising how much these 'little' projects cost... one of my wood orders came in at just under £1k (and that was after hunting for the cheapest supplier)

Yeah i know the feeling we have been hunting for the cheapest prices and we have spent £1800 on wood alone. just spent £850 on doors and windows today
