You did some great work on the front of your house, that is a massive improvement

I will try and load some of it finished. We are really pleased with how it's turned out we have made a few quid as well

Yes mr Wilks its a TT it was my car before the zed there was a 3 year gap between them. It was a 225 but the zed is a match better car power wise about the same the TT is a bit heavier and the Quattro although safe was boring.

Thanks Dan it is fun. But I am looking forward to it being finished so I can get the car in and start the fun stuff.

It has been fun so far Swifters and I will keep you all posted

Wow, you sure have been busy Matt, a very impressive project. I will be watching this thread with interest and look forward to seeing the finished article :)

Thanks guys yes doing the work ( all I can myself ) we did the house the same way. I put the pipes in the plumber connected and signed off. Same sort of thing with the electrics cables in sockets switches lights in by me spark connected. I will have help from mates in the trade when needed.

Yeah it's a great pace Dave we are very lucky. Right time right place. I had saved hard after a break up with an ex she brought me out of a place. Then unfortunately my dad passed away. I got some cash and did something he would have been proud of with the cash. And we got the place for a steel 172k we have spent 240 ish so far

Loving the project MM. It's going to be perfect when finished and what a great exterior look to the MonkeyCave!

Reckon you should do an official opening and we all drive over your way for official tape cutting/BBQ ceremony

Im good to lend a hand when i take a week off in october mate. Could do with a drive and do some manual labour. Looks a right laugh... now where's my hammer at?

It's going to be epic when finished. The most appealing thing of building it yourself is that you get all the features you want in a way that you want them, no compromising with a previous owners/builders touch on things.

Good luck to ya, well jell

Thanks Dave

I like the idea of a forum grand opening :) and your all welcome to come round for a brew and or a mod or two.

Will there be room for a four post lift? That would be in my dream garage.
Built my own garage around 8 years ago. Finally fitted a DVD/TV this summer............no reason to come back in the house now!

Careful with that back!

No unfortunately :( but my brother has one :) it would be nice but I will make do with a jack 4 axel stands and a roller trolley.

I know what you mean I am not sure i need a house........

Cool project. Is that a pukka dairy brick floor? Should polish up really nice, but if you need a harder, sealed floor maybe you can sell it - could be worth quite a bit.

Hope the weather stays sensible until you get it water tight!

Yes it's a ver solid and perfect terracotta floor it should do just fine. I hade to dill into it to get the power cable in. It's very solid. Fingers crossed with the weather hope to have it weather proff the end of October.
